Scalping on Tick Charts with TickTrader

First and foremost: This is not a signal provider thread, strategy selling thread or anything like this.
My honest intention is to help scalpers move to the next level

What is TickTrader?
TickTrader is a tool which lets you view and trade on raw Tick Data.
There are no candles available. It is a simple line chart with resolution of 1 Tick.

Why TickTrader?
Yes, I am aware that there are some other charting tools that do support Tick charts.
TickTrader tries to adhere to the KISS principle:
Keep It Simple Stupid.
Which means: No fluff and overload on the Ticker, Chart and Trade Management.

Some differences to other charting software:

1. TickTrader supports Live raw Tick Data for up to 7 days
2. Viewing of historical Tick Data with ease. (starting with January 1st, 2012)
   1. No limitations on that - you can even view a full year in Tick Data; see the screenshots. ... do whatever makes sense to you...
   2. Your hardware is the only limitation
   3. Default behavior is 1 day

3. Unlimited zoom (Range from milliseconds up to years or longer)
4. Backtesting support on Tick Data
   1. Note: Historical Tick Data is provied by Dukascopy

5. No limitations on indicator input values
6. Currently just a limited set of indicators is available; which should be sufficient for scalpers
   1. Additional indicators will be added on demand

7. Runs in the browser with high performance; no need to install anything
   1. Also runs on Mac and Linux out of the box
   2. Best performance on Chromium based browsers

8. Broker independent (current broker support is limited to cTrader accounts (any broker providing cTrader accounts) + FXCM)
   1. Support for more brokers will be added on demand. Depending on the API limitations
      1. Oanda has some tight limitations and cannot be supported for now

   2. FIX might be added sometime in the future

9. Quick Stop Loss and Take Profit adaptions (Buttons for +1/+5 pips or BreakEven + 1)
10. No trendline and horizontal/vertical line drawing support (yet there is a crosshair spanning across the whole chart)

Currently there are some limitations, which might be added in future:

1. Market orders are fixed to GTC (Good-Til-Canceled) and cannot be changed right now
2. Scaling out of positions (though it will be received on TickTrader if partially closed on the main platform)
3. To mitigate these limitations, you currently need to use your brokers platform

There are no hidden costs (like commissions or affiliates)
TickTrader is available for a monthly subscription plan.
No commissions or affiliates will be chared.
Neither are there any ads.

Limitations:
Tick Data is delayed by 30 minutes; Backtesting and HistoryView are disabled

News just came in.

I focused on GBP/USD.
The first trade was a good entry signal but closed shortly after, as my strategy signaled exhaustion.
For the second entry I missed an early entry signal ~4 minutes before the actual entry, yet the entry was on point and exit as well .

Nice pips caught on BRENT/USD.
3 entries, all closed for a total of ~115pips. A total exposure of ~150 seconds.

Unfortunately I was not in front of the charts when the ~30 pips drop happened.
Anyway, I managed to scalp 7.7 pips

Needed to exit them prematurely as I couldn't babysit them anymore.

The first trade was kept open way too long. There were clear signs of exhaustion long before I exited.
The very last one was closed way too soon. There were no signs of slowing down yet.
All other trades were according to plan.

Nice rally. There would have been some good opportunities to capture some pips.
Unfortunately outside the hours I watch the charts....

This screenshot shows a timerange of ~10 minutes and the drop of ~200 pips within 1 minute

Very interesting to follow news (US CPI) on Tick level...
Spread started to get wider than usual ~90 seconds before and went back to normal ~90 seconds after the news release.
During the news release the spread widened a lot (20 seconds before until 5 seconds after the news).

Unfortunately none of these 2 trades turned out to be positive. Better cut the losses short and wait until a clear trend forms again...

This pair is doing some really nice moves lately.
unfortunately for the first and last trade of today, I needed to exit because I was not able to babysit the trade...
