Right click on your chart and then click on "reload all historical data" and see if that cleans it up for you.

I slipped a little bit again but overall an excellent day. Finished with a net profit of 71.50 MNQ/NQ points for the day.

Same with me. I made mention of this one last week or the week before - usually I can follow rocky's chart with mine with no problem, but lately his chart has had some significant differences from my own.

The fact that more of us seem to be the same to one another, and rocky's chart is the one with variance, I'd suggest rocky look into it because the last thing you want to have happen to placing trades on bad data or skipping trades because of bad data.

Hi vidvad. I have a question. I see your entries and exits are basicaly 2-3 minutes appart. What are your costs aka. comisions and spread per entry? On CFDs typicaly the spread would make such trades imposible. Even on a zero spread broker my comision is too big for such entries.

Here are my stats from yesterday. Keep in mind that when Ninjatrader says "12 trades" it means 12 contracts in total were traded. I trade 2 to 3 micors right now, so the actual number of trades was much fewer than 12.

Also, most of those commissions are not really commissions. The broker charges very low commission. The bulk of these fees are exchange fees charged by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. For the micros these fees are outrageous.

When I switch to full size contracts, the transaction costs as a percent of activity come down. It is very expensive to trade these micros relative to the full size contracts. I do not understand CFD pricing so I cannot comment there.

I am generally looking to take 10 point profits on the MNQ/NQ, and sometimes the trades are just a few minutes apart such as yesterday, while other days the trades can be up to 30 minutes apart or more. It all depends on how much and how fast the market is moving on any particular day.

MNQ/NQ/TECH100 moves more points and more quickly than the MES/ES/SP500 does in general. That is why I switched to the Q's this past week.

So what you are looking for take profit is basically my spread on my CFD equivalent. I don't have a commission on that instrument. Hmm ... guess I need to look into this further.

I don't know what your spread is.

Ten points on MNQ/NQ = 40 ticks.

If price is 16001.00, one tick higher would be 16001.25, and ten points higher would be 16011.00.

Being in the "land of the free" I am barred from having a spreadbet account and so I really have no idea how the equivalent products are priced on spreadbetting platforms.

I am looking for a profit of $20 USD/micro MNQ or $200 USD/full sized NQ

MNQ is 1/10th the size of the full contract.

That chart there shows the data that I and everyone else see even during market hours. I use Ninjatrader continuum.

I don't know why rhythmic would be so different. I never noticed it happen until recently, but it is happening more and more often. Your data used to always match mine. But now there are rather wide divergences. I also keep an ES chart open in Think or Swim, and ToS and Continuum always match price for price.

You might want to call Ninjatrader and find out what the issue is, because you will find yourself taking losing trades that you would have avoided with correct data.

HI RP if you dont mind I know that you use discretion to enter trades ,can you please elaborate on what you look out for
I want to post a chart that u traded and i see you basically avoided almost all bad trades ( about 12 ) !!!

That's from a while ago. So this is a guess. Looks like I'm up early took a couple of trades then stopped when news releases were coming up at 6:30 and waited a few minutes from price to settle. Before trading again.

Context matters. I took the first few signals and then stopped as we have news pending at 10 AM and I've had a bunch of signals back and forth (chop).

I always am aware of that FF economic news calendar.

MNQ and my trades may look sloppier than they in fact were because I intended to trade more size today but forgot to adjust my ATM strategy and so I had to enter additional contracts manually.

I took the clean signals, and made most of the profit on the long and then the short in the opening minutes of the NYSE. After that, price got choppy and stuck in the middle of the range between the opening high and the opening low, so I just sat on my hands and I called it a day. I'm still watching ... always watching = always learning.

But I took the cream off the top and I'll let others fight over the curds and whey.
