Hi mate ! There are different types of pivot points, the standard one is being based on high-low-close data, so simple.

There are freely available pivot calculators/ea's/trading strategies based on pivots around, and I think it is much worth the research for the curious trader.

They are usually fixed levels for the day, where the trader concentrates his/her attention for various reasons.

EU corrected yesterday to 1.0900 after traders took profits on a significant resistance zone, support is some pips lower at 1.0896 where a bounce to 1.0965 expected first. The same support can act as a resistance and drive eurusd at 1.0825 if, it breaks.

Daily volatility (range) - 45 pips

Significant news - US Durable Goods & US Initial Jobless Claims
