You can back test it, forward test or just ignore it, whatever your experience of price action dictates.
As I mentioned previously, I was taking the opposite signals on 4-Hour but with the weekly trend; that gave me some of the best entries that I have ever seen.
Here is an example, the 1, 2, 3, Red Stars are actual BUY signals for continuation higher, can you see it?
In another thread someone tested that with an EA or some program and was quite impressed, I can look for that information if you are interested.
