will see whether tomorrow there is any retracement for set up.

The market is clearly ranging. Capital preservation should be the main focus, IMO.

Gold is moving towards a longterm downtrend-line. We might see a break of it, but I think it will retrace a bit first. Possible STRL-setup if price breaks the 1h-trendline.

I am selling Gold now. The price nearly touched the longterm downtrend-line afterwards broke the uptrend-line and also the daily open at the same time. Now retesting this area

After your initial trade there was a significant upside-movement. If I would have taken this trade, I am sure I would have gotten stopped out, because I like to take tight stop-losses.

In this forum, most people are only posting about entries, but the exits are just as important (in my opinion). My stop-losses are probably a reason which are limiting my profits. You seem to handle your trades well, also when they go into the wrong direction initially.

i used to watch price action and SL would be at support resistant 1 or 2 time frames above the entry time frame.

nowadays i do not watch price action so much anymore.
today price movement is not much.
for gold, i place SL at support resistant around 30-40 pips from entry.
also check on htf snr whether to place SL there.
if a snr is more than 40 pips, then the maximum SL is 40 pips.

widely expected no change in fed rate, so people more interested in the fomc statement.
limited trading today.
