A noble venture indeed!

I suggest reading the e-book from 'the bhoy' AND "looking" at the entire original thread.............I know, I know, it's HUGE; but it will really give you the complete overview of the method. And, most recently I have been using the 4 hour chart to book extra "Fozzy" pips. All the best......

I'm not trying to take anything away from WHTenn, but this e-book was prepared by a FF member named: "the bhoy". He has a thread in this sub-forum about his book. (keeping the record correct)

fozzy requires guts. I see a cross on gbpusd now should i take? i dont think i will i will sit and watch first

We have not had a Fozzy-style cross of the RSI and MA since April 23.........

As usual, ask a question about how to use a system ,you get lots of proffesional sounding advice,(this is good and 99% well intentioned).
BUT.... ask if anyone is actually trading the system with a full size live account or if anyone is having any consistant positive results using a system with a live account and You may get a reply or 2,(usually something that causes it to drift off from the initial question), and still walk away wondering if after 150 pages of this ,anyone is making any decent profit with it.....
Would it be possible for those using this system (live accounts) to throw us a bone here.One would think that with all the testing and input spent on the fozzy system, someone could tell us if it is worth pursuing further from actual live account experience.
Beachbum I am not refering to you.you are always very helpfull and you have already posted that you use a live mini account for this.
But what about the others?

well just read your post..

And you have 1 person you know that uses it in a live real account and from what I have read he trades for a living...so why do you need more people to stand up and tell you it works fine...Like most systems it requires work on behave of the user...nobody is going to give you a tried and tested...fool proof system that makes 10's of thousands of dollars a year and why should they....and personally I dont believe all I read...the best way for you to see if it works is start with the basic method and trade it with demo....there is no short cuts in this game.

And as I have only just started reading this system myself....its demo only for the time being and forward testing.....its the only way to truelly see if it suits you ( and if you can make it work).

I know you mean well though, and good luck with your demo. I think your post further validates my earlier post .
I think Don Perry wanted to know if people are having success with this system after all the time that has been spent on it .This is after 8 months and over 3000 posts.
Sooo again..., for those who have been working with this a while.
Is anyone but Beachbum trading a live account and making a profit off this?
simple question..... simple answer maybe?

Yes. But I don't know if I could really call it Fozzy anymore. My Fozzy indicator is now more used as a 'thumbs up' indicator signalling that I made a good choice and the trade is going the way I anticipated.

Do you plan to ask for account statements next? I would not trade any system based on other traders talking about all the money they have made. I know there are other people besides BeachBum that make money trading the Fozzy system. You should only trade the system live if you can make money with it. Have you been following the trades some people have posted in a demo for yourself? I certainly don't take some of the trades other people do. But a couple of weeks ago one of the people posting trades earned considerably more pips than my trades did. After reading the threads all the way through set up several demo accounts and see which variation you are the most comfortable with. For example I don't use the 4hr Fozzy for entries on a live account (yet). I know other people have success but I get too greedy. Just conduct some consistent tests and you will answer your question in a method you can trust.

I have to say that I love being a part of this site because the feedback from others is so unbelievably open and helpful 99% of the time. Do you want to know the 1% of the time when I have found that members routinely provide nothing but curt remarks? When you are actually foolish enough to ask for results. As soon as you ask for any type of results, everyone responds with their generic tidbits of market wisdom, admonishing you to figure it all out for yourself or else you're just being lazy.

Now I totally understand that no one appreciates the "will you please do my backtesting for me" posts that are often put up by complete noobs. It's pretty obvious when someone just wants to be pointed to the Grail without putting in 2 minutes of their own time. Having said that, I don't get that feeling at all from randomlight.

I would like to point out to everyone that the title of this thread is "How successful has fozzy been to you?" randomlight is asking a perfectly valid question that is totally in the context of the thread. If you don't want to provide that information to him, then that's totally fine. No one is compelled to hand over their results. I can completely understand anyone's hesitance to share real-life results. But that doesn't make it an invalid query and it doesn't mean that randomlight is just being lazy. It is, afterall, the whole point of this thread.

I would also like to point out that, while everyone's input is valid and helpful to a point, it can also be very difficult to cut through the noise. What noise, you ask? Well, first of all, demo account results are NOT equivalent to live trading results. They are a helpful indicator, but they do not tell the whole story. For that matter, forward-testing results with microlots are also only marginally helpful. Like backtesting, they provide some helpful info, but they do NOT tell you what it will be like to use the system with "real" money on the line.

So again, it's perfectly valid just to ask the question, "What kind of results are people getting with the fozzy when they have significant position/unit sizes in play?" If people aren't inclined to answer that question, that is fine. But let's not kid ourselves by dismissing it as an invalid question.

i've found that some people are using dynamic rsi but i've also found that if you put the rsi on the chart and deselect the 0 and 100 fixed low and high you'll get the same image which i feel is nicer.
here is the indicator some people are using just so you can see for yourself.
i am not trading this system live yet but i really wanted to let Fozzy users know this tidbit asap as i think it will help filter trades.
i'm also researching price action for filtration of entries.

Bytebodger thanks for your kind words and insight.
It does seem that there is a certain type of wannabe who takes offence when asked if they have actually achieved any degree of success .
It would be truly scary to find that these are the same people to jump at the opportunity to advise new people on how to trade.
No nvwine I don`t want people`s statements and am not sure why you thought to ask me that.
For the record I am far from new to forex and this site, (take a look at my join date.)
I am not lazy and have tried to contribute when I can.
I spend at least 2 hours a day studying charts and have for a long time.
I have studied at least 20 different systems and am getting pretty confident with my ability to predict price movements.
Over the years (yes years, nvwine) I have peiced together my own way of identifying and predicting although I don`t like calling it a system because it is mostly instinct and that is the one thing you can not teach anyone. It comes from long hours at the screen. However when I do ask for advice of cource I would rather know I am talking to a journyman and not just a first year apprentice.
Why is that so hard to understand ????
I know there is no holy grail and am not looking for one,I also know that two people using the same system can get different results due to a little thing called discretion.
Now please no more lectures, as Bytebodger kindly pointed out If you aren't inclined to answer the question, that is fine, but don`t try to dismiss the question as invalid.
I am sure there are lots of people who would like some sort of validation that this system is productive after all this time, and not just from some newbee`s demo account.
