When they wake up in 1 hour and see the $ got clobbered will they jump on the wagon or start shorting like crazy? This is the real question. Wednsday morning they jumped on the bandwagon but has everyone just held on to there positions so theres no more jumping available? Is there a way to figure this out? And good job to everyone who said its going to be such a slow week....... Has this ever happened before? Does anyone know?

I'm going to take a quick guess and say that many traders may have removed their orders from the market to be safe. There appears to have been little resistance. A force of some kind has moved in and taken full advantage of it.

...DUNNO... really really!!

This all happen when the u.s. was stuffing there face's. this was a well plan attack on the dollar. kept the u.s. traders at bay while all this shit was going down. there was nobody there to save the dollar.

My first reaction was to look at the calendar.
With no reason I then thought "China" for some reason. LOL

Out of this , I tell you one thing, they could move it to the next resistance level and then it was walled in. A very powerful force STILL can't manipulate the Forex market long term?? Will there be a major correction to the short side??? (...pondering.)

I dont know at this point. It looks very crazy what happened, but for sure this big jump was helped from low liquidity and tons of big stops over there. Many reasons oer this. i dont see this as a typical situation, I see it as an exeption, but it could also become a new rule of the market...
the market keeps changing (who plays the market : big palyers) when their profits are less then expected. Be prepared to a new set of rules...

What you see down here is what my friend did before.. but consider that around 1.3060/65 there should be a new buying interest layer, and if it breaks and supports I think today the up trend will continue, at least today. Next week things should go back to normality. if not, I think rules changed

Speaking as an American, I don't think folk here really care about the strength of the dollar- only that their dollars are invested where the strength is. And I'm especially convinced that that's true for the market makers over here (that is the banks).

I was up when the big move happened last night...not waving my stars and stripes and shorting the pound and euro...I was long @ 9165 on the pound and @ 2956 on the euro. And very happy about an hour after the U.K. session opened.

I have no respect for a "dollar". It's not because I'm unAmerican- but because it's worthless fiat like most of the other currencies- and the cospiracy theorist in me believes that the international banks have a "take-down" in mind for this wretched currency- and today's session has convinced me just that much more.

BTW, when the dollar goes down, generally speaking gold and silver bullion go up. The bullion markets reacted, albeit a few hours after the big move. Something to keep in mind for the future...

Trucco, I am wondering whether the ECB or Europe's finance ministers are going to go crazy over this; do you, or anyone else, have any input over what the future open market ops will be like since such a strong euro is obviously detrimental to their trade balance.

They will see tha same thing we see,...yesterday i had an overview of new edition of economist,...and the news the euro capital market is gaining is on the first PAge,...Wall street is tight up,...and the previos edition there was a srinking president,...which also did no good to the usd. my thoughts only.
