Finally a 4th entry, here at 08065 and bears didn't even manage to beat the last higher low after all this time = not so common in Ranging Heaven = slightly more chances intraday ranging/sideways/choppiness has lost some of its power for now, and we can get a bit of direction at last, therefore a tiny bit more holding (less TPs) is possible for me.

I am very interested. I have yet to develop a strategy using volume. You are reminding me of what I have read long ago on the usage of Granville's OVB.

Where's your neck line precisely? And see your second shoulder has a new high = not sooooo good for a head and shoulder. But for me its more of a double top, the higher high only in wicks does not make a difference for double top, in my experience...
BUT, with such shallow moves, it's more sideways than up or down = not great location for reversal setups like dbltop or h&s and the likes

I've shared some of this before, but it's a pleasure to share it again, as I finally have a bit more writing time.

There are many ways to measure and work with volatility. In this case, look how 15mAtr had been dropping and rose back to the recent high, right before my post. I always combine it with more tools. For example, check how the 15m keltner channel shrunk from one candle to the next, then grew again on the next candle... Also, in sideways market, it cannot be used for large TPs, because the second it turns around, it's all too often to test the other side, keeping the range flat even longer, leaving room for tight TPs, and, unfortunately, often higher SLs. I'm just talking of my own trading...

If I may make a suggestion. Use the lowest possible unit of trading, lowest leverage, and focus 100% on your trading skills and learning, regardless of $. These percentages you mention almost guarantee that your focus will not be on trading, but on the growing and shrinking of your account. Can focusing on such large gains and such large losses do any good whatsoever to your trading?

Good luck mate, you can do it, just keep on trying different things and building and refining, small step after small step, your trading plan build for the long-term success. Focusing on the forest, not the tree. There are many great traders here sharing freely and much more generously than first meets the eye. A learner or trader desiring to grow should not hesitate to try what is shared here and there. Not just once, but enough, scientifically, to refute or use, in the the way intended, or in a new found way, That's one thing I love about research. The more you do, the more you find.
