This is a powerful strategy, but being able to switch from trend to counter trend effectively is easier said than done.

Disliked{quote} I forgot about Chhicos. He hasn't posted since January. I'm studying his screen prints now. This is a powerful strategy, but being able to switch from trend to counter trend effectively is easier said than done.Ignored
Disliked{quote} i agree, his contributions were highly valuable and it's worth repeating his wise words and warning to us about trading just the basic ema strategy on its own from his opening post: "Hello. I am following this thread from few days and I just want to specify a few things. I am very experienced with KOF stategy and with it I passed FTMO challange at the first attempt. I can say that this strategy actually changed my life. What I am noticing here is that you are only using the base of the KOF strategy. You all are always attempting to reach...Ignored
DislikedCiao a tutti. Da quando cpfleger ha smesso di pubblicare post su questo forum è noioso. Non capisco i tuoi post. Fortunatamente con i sistemi di cpfleger, faccio trading con successo. Grazie a luiIgnored
Disliked{quote} Hi.. what you see in my new template is something very special... with it I don't need volume and price action because everything is included in it.. this way my charts are very clean and my eyes stay more relaxed.. as explained in my last posts I am not going to share it at the moment.. I will share it only with a couple of you in the near future..{image} trail challange widely passed in less than 4 days.. look at the drawdown.. it is very impressiveIgnored

Disliked{quote} very true, i've been trying unsuccessfully to emulate his trend following skills since he posted, i have to keep working on it a lot harder! thanks for the explanation on your chart, even though it helps, it is still difficult - the platform has custom capabilities via thinkscript, perhaps there is an indicator that can plot the entries and exits a bit better? there is also the concept of "virtual" hedging that could be employed for FIFO compliance...Ignored
Disliked{quote} From the screenshots posted by Chhico, I also noticed that he tried to further simplify the reading of the graph by leaving only the EMA 9 and 200 on it. While it is unknown to me what that combination of indicators placed above the RSI can be used for. I think he needs it to identify reversal signals, but I still don't understand what reading he gives. A direct explanation would have been helpfulIgnored
Disliked{quote} Niks, one thing that’s helped me determine if I should switch…I mark up my naked chart with trendlines, then I turn on the EMAs. If the price has crossed a trendline and the next trendline or support/resistance line is still far away from price, I’ll switch to trend following. It helps. I’ll also basically reverse my current position and then average up a little from there.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I don't know if it's going to be helpful to you, but this way of looking at the 5 min structure helps me decide if the trend is intact or fizzling out: {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} This was my issue with his posts. He wasn't wrong, but didn't offer up any way to tell when it'll trend versus hit ema's. There was a chance for us to all have a greater understanding of the full system and how he saw it, but he only gave the warning and not any technique on how to heed such.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Does anyone know if Chhico shared his variation with anyone?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Next time you're on the sim, try averaging with a naked chart. I counter-trend traded the EMAs for so long that when I see them, I instinctively want to go counter-trend. Turning them off removes this bias and helps me see the chart more clearly. I still toggle them on occasionally though. Interestingly, here's a KoF trend-following video and he's using a naked chart. In the video he says "the indicators are in my head." https://youtu.be/756L5M8rGLs?si=2d_6NjXS2RxlFnlsIgnored
