Maybe a list can be made of those prop firms who are bit more flexible regarding such. To get banned over a shared IP or similar is kind of a huge deal and should also be included for in lists comparing prop firms if you ask me and their ranking.

A good majority of people caught are actually cheating and using copy trading and pass services.
I'm not feeling sorry for the cheaters to get busted.
Good for the prop firms to bust them. It ensures that these props stay in business, so honest traders can actually benefit from their hard work.

I'm sure but isn't that just speculation in reality. Unless prop firms have released honest info about it and stats ofc. Right now we mostly see some here and there who mentions the IP banning and how they are innocent. I mean some prop firms out right mentions to tell them if we trade outside our homes or else. Which means there might be a huge shadow number of innocent people who got banned from shared IPs and Secure IPs as far as we know which we never hear about. Me personally wouldnt bother to whine about it online.

Alright, I cannot attest to the honesty of either side. I cannot guarantee that mistakes don't happen along the way.

I am just relying on the old custom of business/customer model. Business, because of the use of available finance and a body of intellect operating it, sets to provide a product or service. Such business is assumed to want to stay in business by being what the customer looks to pay money to in exchange for the goods.

It is hard to believe a prop has come in and figured out the business and has set everything up to do prop business but in reality, it has found out that it can ban people and syphon their fees with the IP address excuse.

Alright maybe Joker in the cartoon version would set up something like that and batman, would confront him in a public setting, so everyone can hear (this forum) and force him to confess to being a sham.

I'm sure as I mentioned, mistakes happen along the way and are very frustrating but for any transaction to occur between prop and trader, there has to be that trust in place that both sides are as honest as they can be.

Lastly, to be devil's advocate, if a cheater type who has been caught asks for evidence and the prop complies and provides it, it just adds another level of sophistication to the cheater. Soon they will find out what prop screens for what cheat and which doesn't. So, I'd think, the prop not wanting to tell them how they were caught is you know, something that makes sense.

Everybody says MyfundedFX dropped 8Cap.

If so, why are traders are still trading with 8Cap and in fact have the choice to keep it or leave it?

My guess, they have both but are heavy on 8Cap and wanted a 2nd choice to take some and in case one blew up, there would be the other BUT, no one was choosing Thinkmarkets, so they are pushing it as the only choice to new contestants.

No? Yes? Maybe?

Yeah, never been banned myself either. When I look in my MFF dash, there are 50+ different IP addresses. I trade from the same computer every day, however, I will exit trades from a mobile device as well when not in front of the computer. I did travel out of state for several days a couple of months ago and used a laptop. I simply sent an email to ALL 4 FIRMS I use BEFORE traveling, they all responded back within minutes informing me it would be fine.
I think you are dead on, that 99% of the folks being banned probably should be banned. How is it there are so many of is on this thread alone who never have any issues? I use 4 firms and I have never had one single issue with slippage, spreads, payouts, nobody asking me to prove anything.
I trade relatively small in relation to account size, do not trade news, do not hold at rollover, even if I did, I'd be OK as positions are small.
The ones always complaining trade news, hold at rollover, and risk as close to the daily max DD as possible on a single trade. Then they get slipped by 3 pips and it violates them. If a difference of 3 pips violates your account..........You have no clue what you are doing and truly should not even be trading.

Vitore, here, was not cheating and got busted by Funded Next (what a surprise....) just because he used a VPS and they have not accepted the evidence he produced.

And it's an obvious abuse having to inform them upfront that we're traveling and even more having to show plane tickets, hotel booking or, as suggested, having to do video calls from the foreign places.

I have already used more than a dozen props (some that don't even exist) received more than 100 payouts and Funded Next (one of the clowns that have these IP rules) was the ONLY company until today that asked me to have an interview to prove my IP stuff. None of the other props needed that to know who I was and where I traded. Either they are all dumbs or Funded Next are con artists.

Don't be naïve thinking that these rules exist just to catch cheaters. They exist to open the door to deny payments when they need.

I believe many (most ?) of the guys caught are cheaters but the point is which props are less likely to do a mistake. I'm sure that you have never informed MFF/FTMO if you went thanksgiving 400 miles away from your home or going on vacations to Mexico. How do you feel in showing them the plane ticket or hotel booking, like these clowns of Funded Next ask ?

And then we confirm our suspicious in foruns or telegram groups. No week goes by without claims against Funded Next IP rule banning people. Cheaters ?
But why MFF/FTMO don't have much more claims than Funded Next ? They are much bigger. They should have much more cheaters, right ?
Or maybe it's another thing. Maybe it's Funded Next using these rules for something else.

To avoid any complications related to IP addresses, it is recommended that traders use a single device with a unique IP address during their trading activities on our platform. However, this is understandable there may be exceptional circumstances that require the use of multiple devices and IP addresses.

They recommend that people use a single device and a single IP (lol).
You can use multiple ones but that is "exceptional circumstances" (lolololol)

Any prop having a rule like this shows immediately that:
1. Either they are idiots because any person with a mobile is changing IP all the time (besides that, it's also normal to have a mobile + a tablet/desktop/laptop). How can this be an "exceptional circumstances" ?

2. Or they are scammers, having a handy rule to deny payments as they pleased

Well, in A cpl of month, on a trip, I'll be away from my desktop and all my trading activity turned off. I like it that way. I'm not going to have an issue proving proof that I was on a trip. I'm naturally bullet proof that way.
Now if I got the feeling that I should be trading on the go on my phone hooked onto any next available wifi or method of connecting and pushing a trade through to completion, then, I think I might have an issue on my hand. The best remedy I think I'd come up with would be not to trade the gypsy style and expect a desktop fast fixed unshared IP encrypted private network execution or treatment.
But that's just me. What do I know?

Myfundedfx got into big mess i guess.

They are unable to go with 8 cap.

May be think markets are not in full swing.

The firm will close down with shabby nature.

To my funded account, they have not been able to provide think markets.

So, can guess now what is happeneing.

Yes, there are definetly firms using it to deny payouts. I was proactive and informed beforehand, so if they saw something out of the ordinary, it wouldn't be an issue. If anyone asked for any evidence beyond me telling them upfront, I'd be done with that particular firm.

They offered me 8 cap. I refused. Because for new sign ups no more 8 cap. How they can support for funded account ? shabby .
