price action wise a good trade, but nfp will decide fate of currencies this week, i will wait for numbers to come out

easy playbook trade here... first red news for gbp (gbp going down)
then bad news for usd... gbp rejected at pivot...

Short EA - good location, rejection at R100, good resistance at 1.6730 on daily and weekly charts.

EJ and CJ both look good for shorts based on monthly chart technicals. Two good pin signals.

Totally agree with you Voty , however , I did not enter my short trade until this morning.

Going to be interesting how this trade plays out , particularly since WTI has had a recent spike.
Watching for the levee to break.

Well folks , my SHORT TRADE of UC from 1.3380 DID NOT WORK OUT.
I TOOK A LOSS AND GOT OUT OF MY TRADE AY 1.3405

Oh well , sometimes the market WILL GO AGAINST YOUR PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE OF A PARTICULAR PROBABILITY !!!!!
NOT THE 1ST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME , WON'T BE THE LAST , THAT'S TRADING !!!!!
I BELIEVE , that I SHOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THE IMPACT OF THE HOUSING DATA FROM LAST WEEK !!!!! MEANT TO WRITE IT DOWN IN MY NOTES BUT FORGOT TO DO SO !!!!! Underestimated the strength of this pair that broke through the 1.3140 area on July 31st , THAT ALONE SHOULD HAVE FORCED ME TO GO LONG !!! THE PAIR CONSOLIDATED FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 BLOODY WEEKS !!!! UGH !!!! CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I MISSED THAT , BUT I DID , STUPIDITY ON MY PART !!!!!
Also , "jumped the gun" on my entry timing by less than 5 minutes. SHAME ON ME , A MISTAKE I SHOULDN'T HAVE MADE !!!!
Because of this timing error , I missed a 40 pip drop. Pure and simple , I MADE AN ERROR THAT I KNOW BETTER NOT TO DO !!!!!

Will still be looking to go SHORT on UC from a new level.

AC is at an interesting point. Watching for longs although would like to see it fall further to 86 before going long and would wait for after the AUD data tomorrow.

In longer perspective CAD should gain as oil production cuts are coming more and more into effect.
My bias atm is CAD "buy only". That doesn't mean one can't make money selling it. This is just my strategy.

So you're suggesting that the oil production cuts will push up the longer term value of oil and therefore the CAD too? l'm aware that in the long run, when the price of oil rises, the value of the Canadian dollar also usually rises relative to that of the U.S. dollar.
