10:10 Bet against the US stock market and you have been setting yourself up for sleepless nights. Fx players have been keeping a keen eye on the US bourse, using it as a barometer of the markets appetite for risky assets. In the Fx world, risky assets translate into being long eur/jpy aud/jpy and the like. Take a look in the rearview mirror tho, and you see the US 10 year note switching gears from second to third. If the US note eclipses 4.9% (now known as 4rth gear) watch the dow melt and risky assets come under pressure

Second gear into third huh. First car analogy i ever saw from that guy. Anyway, my next nostradamus claim is for GBPJPY to stall at 239.64, and if it makes it through then 239.88 then much higher in a bull rally. Watch the stars, they are aligned, thus I have spoken.

Just read a bank's analysis on GJ. 260 for 2007 toppish then correction.

well, well, well, looks like i missed the party again. And all my longs are dead whores now. I cant believe it went all the way down and now back up to where we were at the beginning of this wonderful day. The story with the artificial push lower to make a good dip to buy seems the most realistic one

My god...im frustrated again. Out of curiosity, did anyone make a profit out of this move?

And they are giving me the best trades lately... Just erased half of my weekly blowup.

Hopefully I'll learn the lesson.

Everybody trading vegas, linear regression channels and news made profit, I caught both moves (see posts above) but I was only lucky because I was awake at the time. Fridays are always beautiful.

You learn to short when a strong fibo coincides with heavy negative GBP news and strong deviation from moving averages, and to go long again when the move bounces off on the other side (strong statistical deviation and fibo also).

Carries selloff / no follow through is a good entry... as was my USDCAD short today.
