Also notice what happens when the US Market opens due to the news prior to market open. So it was safer to take 5 pips and go....
Fridays tend to be US news days so need to be wary.

ATR Filter turned on: ATR(10) H1 still flat, so momentum lacking, no signal.

Still a slow day, so no trade today. Done for the day.

Q&A Session:

Q5) Why Only One Trade a Day?

A5) The 50% ADR(period) (or any other % ADR(period) chosen), point can only be reached / passed through once in a given day; therefore a single trade.
Which ever line price crosses first will be the ADR(10) 50% mark.
No guessing, price shows us the direction and potential entry point. Whether to take the trade depends on your probablity and risk analysis.

Q6) Why is buy line (blue) sometimes below the open price of the day and vice versa for the sell line (red)?

A6) The buy line is calculated from the low of the day plus 50% of ADR(10). If the distance between the open of the day and the low of day is greater than the 50% ADR(10), (or any other % ADR(period) chosen), the buy line will be positioned below the open of day. Vice versa for the sell line. This is why the method can not be back tested by looking at charts.

Strong downward trend and strength.

Another Early European move today
Strong downward trend and strength.
Trying to recapture yesterday 's low. ~1.06730
ADR(10)H1 increasing.

Key:
EA = Expert Advisor
NT = No Trade
Y = Trade opened
N = No Trade opened

Live manual and EA trading started on 11 May 23.
The EA took three trades on days of low volatility, that I could see should not be traded.
The 16 May SL trade was a market spike and could not be avoided. From the new schedule there was no high impact news on this day.
The 23 May trade for EA hit SL due to pullback after first touch of sell line. Manual trade was taken on retest of the sell line. Hence EA hit SL, Manual hit TP.
Manual trade missed on 31 May 23, but would have hit TP. Not included in stats.

This means manual trading would be in profit and EA trading in loss for May 23; due to the required size of the SL.

More work needed on EA.

Ideas to improve the method are welcomed.

The method was shared knowing that others may add value but not share any / all of the methodology improvements; that was the risk.

If those that improve the method can share with me / us, either on the thread and/or via PM, that would be honourable and in the same spirit in which the method was shared; but can not be expected as everyone is different. Their decision to share or not too must also be honoured.

Lets continue working together and improving the method.

Personally, I would prefer the method to include buy and sell trades with money management but filter out the low volatility days. This is difficult as a low volatility day can only be known on the day and is multifactoral.

Not as per rules as ADR significantly above the 50% mark, but made up for missing trade at start of European session. Done for the day.
