- Most of us here have a PhD, some even 2 in trading. Hope that helps to evaluate how much to learn. Trading is very specific and sometimes seconds can be too late to enter. You need exactly to know what you are doing, spread is also important, some scalp strategies don't work with too big spread. And Calculate, calculate, calculate...

Would you by chance be taking the high since the start of the session and the recent low to be determining a Fib Retracement heading back up? Looking for the .618 area?

Yes, using the H4.
You can add the ABCD on the H1 see the extensions for more precision. That is fib confluence, it has worked quite often in the last couple of weeks. This usually works at least for a bounce. Given that so far I consider this to be a corrective move it makes sense to try catching a bottom..
If we were coming from 1.1150 that would be different because then I would expect much deeper retracement or complete reversal.
The fact that it reached the 1.1017 so fast suggests that price is probably going lower to 1.0995.
Breaking of that level (not just piercing) is an invitation to close longs.
