I am so non techy lol...but I did open up the editor the other day for the first time in years...and I can actually see how to change the parameters as you have laid out !! That says alot the its actually crystal clear what you told me considering I have never delved into this before... So cheers !

Funny I have popped into this thread many many times over the years but have never asked for help on here and am so thankful for this community that helps one another.

Not too push the help button to far lol... But is it difficult to add in a 1x the range both ways of the box...So a 2fib ext and a -1.. As I use those as one of my main targets.... I see line 79 and 83 in the editor with the correct levels but zero idea what to do with it

You do that by deleting the 2 greyed out forward slashes on the levels you want to activate.

The lines will become re-activated and lose the greyed out text.

To add some context of what I have been asking for help with and one of my many methods/setups...
Heres a chart of Gold last weds and thurs and I am showing you the basics of one of my setups using the Asia box and the NY box.
I base everything of all my setups off these exact boxes Tokyo and NY .. I dont incorporate the London session as my thesis is the day is set by Asia.

I use 9 different entry setups with these boxes..Some I wait for a retracement others I enter upon opening of the NY box etc,,some I use Moving averages...So this is just an example of one of my favorite setups.

There is more to it but the pics will give you the gist of it.

I dont want to pollute this thread with non tech issues but figured one post is fair to at least show what ive been asking for help with....

Hi All,
Can I ask you to take a look at the attached EA.
It is supposed to copy a trade based on Magic Number and open it in opposite direction.
problem is it does not open the the trade.

Hey Blue just call me edineball,,,,and I trade indices every day beginning at the NY open.

I think you might like some of the things I have put together regarding trading precious metals and indices. They certainly pay attention to detail about session open times, daily highs and daily lows and Yesterdays close.

I trade only Dow at the NY session open which is 8 am NY time, and futures open which is 9 30 am NY time
you only need these times to trade every day to make a nice income.

Cheers Edineball Yes those are the times I trade as well....Im all about the detail of those areas you have mentioned !! I normally post over on the Flying Dutchman thread.. You should pop over there.. Its just a general chat and nothing hard set on how one trades vs another.. Just all doing our own thing but a few trading the NY open

I am not a coder but through all of my efforts I cannot get the trailing stop loss sorted out, I have been trying to learn code as I go along.

Many errors/warnings with the EA and I think its a bit complicated to do what you need it to do.

Its also using Indicator functions (start, init,deinit) instead of Expert Advisor functions (OnInit,OnDeInit,OnTick)

Here's a quick version I made, adjust it to your liking since im assuming you're only doing one trade at a time.
