yesterdays post news trades ended with a small loss - mostly because i was undecided, but ultimately due to bad luck!
in this sequence, i started BE after a big gap down, then stopped out for a loss trying to go long again, then went short and took a small win and then i tried to be smart, gotta stop doing that!
i opened a short and long at the same time and set equal SL's either end hoping that one would hit and the other would run for profits - well the market was unkind and stopped both out before making the big move, a slightly higher SL would of done the trick, but wasn't to be this time...

Hi there, Luckily I didn't do a single trade yesterday. This was a learning Process too.
i just practiced with bitcoin over the weekend, it was very slow but i'm noticing it also respects support and resistance very well, so i play it both ways!
BTCUSD 1H (DEMO)
in the middle of a range i place buy and sell orders with targets on either end, once volume picks up like this morning, it can strike both ends! however, two of my buy orders suffered major slippage and ended in a loss, but overall, the pip haul was great, its a very risky pair to trade

countertrend short off resistance targeting big round number
thought it was going to be a quick one, i was wrong, so short again after price continued moving up into a range and lowered the target anticipating a nice break of big round number
which it finally did to reach the target for a nice profit...

long off support, targeting between ema50 and ema200, then tried trailing the stop and lifted the target anticipating a break of ema200, but got stopped out for small profit...

just looking at this one it appears it stopped you out at 1.5R before moving onto target, but it was very up and down and tough to call, so a positive result in the end is all that matters,,,

long off support within a range, targeting previous high around ema200 and top of range
it broke through bottom of range, would of cost averaged if it held but it didn't...
but it formed an inverted head and shoulders instead, so i lifted the target anticipating a break of the neckline
which it did turning a small profit into a nice profit! probably should of held longer though, my original target was a bit higher but closed manually instead

switched computer on and once the chart presented itself i instantly hit the buy button out of instinct!

then after it failed to break below my initial entry i lifted the target anticipating a break of ema200
but then closed manually due to price action just above original target and just below modified target
yes it did, it would of been nice if i caught it, still, i was pleased i took advantage of the pattern that formed to maximise my original profit target
