Hi. I stumbled upon this thread and wanted to jump in on the conversation. Investing can seem pretty intimidating, but it's something that I really want to learn more about. I'm a complete newbie to investing, so I'm curious - what are some good resources for someone just starting out? I've been hearing a lot about index funds, but not exactly sure how they work. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

P. S. Sorry. It says I need member to DM.

Hello bro! Welcome to the world of Investing! I am sure you will become a Member soon!

I would suggest if you would like to learn about Investing in general, the book by Benjamin Graham- "The Intelligent Investor" - There is a big different between trading and investing.

I personally Invest 70-80% of my capital and trade with the rest. Trading can be risky and you can lose all your money there, However you can also make a decent amount if you position yourself correctly.

Here are 3 basic tips.
Dont Trade with Emotions- When happy or when Angry
Dont Overtrade if you won 1,2 trades and feeling like a king.
Trade only when you have the time and can afford to follow positions ( Unless you are trading with Stop losses and Take Profits)

Good Morning everyone 8:00 CY now , I would like to bring your attention to a few different things that are extremely important and will move the market in either direction.

1: Further developments of Putin and his nuclear warheads in Belarus, We are still waiting for a Nato response to that.
2: The issues Binance is having with the SEC, Binance now has a Monopoly over the Crypto market, and IF more "dirt" unravels we will see a huge movement.
3: Initial Jobless Claims and different Fed members speeches.

If you are trading using Technicals to trade, make sure to be aware of all fundamental events in the market, as it will override any indicators you have running!

Have a successful day!
PS: We are in the middle of the week, Weekend Soon!

You have a point! However, I would change to - Trade Technicals when there is no fundamentals.

Thanks for the tips, JacobKaspi! I will definitely check out the book you recommended. I agree that investing seems like a safer bet than trading, but I'm still a bit confused about index funds. How do they work exactly and what are the benefits of investing in them? Also, do you have any recommendations for specific index funds to invest in? Thanks in advance for your help!

I cannot Recommend specific instruments to trade.

Index funds are a bundle of companies- Instead of investing in Individual stocks- you can choose a whole Index if you believe the economy of that country is going to do well for example.

Famous Indexes are- Nasdaq-Dow-S&P500 (USA)
There are other European/Asian Indexes- such as DAX (Germany) , FTSE 100 (UK) , HK50 (Hongkong, Hang Seng), Japan (Nikkei)

There are many different options, Again, I cannot Give any investment advice, But we can discuss ideas.
