One of today's trades. Based on the wedge formation, went short after the upper boundary had been rejected.

This is EURGBP H4, so it's almost the opposite of the previous GBPUSD trade. I pulled the TP down to the top of the previous high, not far to go now.

I closed manually a few pips short of the TP. Price was hovering below that level for several hours so I lost confidence that it had the buying power to finish the job.

More than a year ago on another thread I started pointing out that a "pinch" was a profitable setup. Here is one of my early posts about that.

I still believe that such setups are worth looking for and waiting for as it seems they lead to high probability trades. In the example below there are multiple crossovers all happening in a tight space. 8/21 EMAs cross over, both of those cross over the 100 EMA and price crosses all three EMAs from bearish to bullish. That setup led to a very nice trend. This seems to happen repeatedly, although not frequently, so be patient and wait for them. You might notice that the chart here is H1. That's because there is less waiting to do.

yes like this,but im afraid that many cross over happens when market is ranging.it will clutter the chart unless please u add on off button to it,thanks

I don't know about coding, so if you want such a thing maybe try the MQL5 market https://www.mql5.com/en/market.

But before you spend money, place that line manually for a while and see if it really works as you expected, or just do it manually all the time.

Here's a beautiful example of a "pinch". A consolidation period went before it and it led to an excellent trend. A quick look at the HTF (H4 in this case) confirms that the trend is down.

This happened while I was sleeping . A perfect pinch, crossover after a period of sideways movement and big breakout. From entry level to the highest level reached so far is 160 pips.

It's been quiet around here! I was away most of last week. Good time to review my trading and what I have learned from this thread.

I placed this trade yesterday. It took a while to get clear of the clutter but now it has taken off.

One thing I was reminded of during my time away was to enter as close to the EMAs as possible. In this case I placed a buy stop order very soon after the EMAs crossed up. Let's see how it goes. The trend is obviously up.

With this trade I managed the same entry close to the EMAs but not after the crossover - this one was after a pullback to the EMAs and the trade is now on the third leg down.

I'm now more aware of inclined S/R levels. This trade has gone well, but should I close now, or assume the trade will break through that trend line? The stop has not yet been moved to B/E, so I'm still exposed to a loss.

This trade is in a triangle or pennant formation and that gave me confidence on the direction, so I entered a bit before the EMA crossover. TP is 130 pips.

Another nice trade today. The EMA crossover took place yesterday, then a pullback to the EMAs that caused a local consolidation to form. I entered this morning on that small pinbar.
