Could a programer help design a lockout function for the MT4
that prevents newbies like me from using M1,M5 and M15?

How about an alert that sends an nice electrical shock through the
keypad?

Just kidding but I had a few of you thinking, huh?

In all seriousness though this has cost me lots of time
and I'll bet,for others, a lot of money to figure out.

A question: Why is it newbie instinct to try to go for a few more
pips than the spread?

Trading is about discipline, that's why you might find high school dropouts that make a billion a day and harvard grads who come up with the best analysis but still lose the majority of their hair by the end of the day.

for indicator, just edit on the properties, it will show only on specified time frame.... i guess it is useless to lock time frame, anything that you lock can be unlock by you,,, and there 's no point to begin with isn't it?

LOL. The difference is that a newb will say...
"Yeah, I'm a profitable Trader."
while a "Trader" will say nothing but while driving his top end vehicle into the distance, all you can see is his 'vanity plate' that says something like GBPUSD
MM... + Let your Profits Run...
Would you tell your kids...
I think that's as good as you can be?
So why tell yourself the same thing?

hahaa. yes it would be very nice.. You can customize the toolbar... (right click any TF button and customize...) Then remove the buttons for M1 M5 M15 and M30. Of course you can put them back but now seeing them maybe reminds you to not use them...
