Just a quick note to let all you good people know that as of 8pm EST last night, I am fully recovered from the severe drawdown I incurred with 5min4x.

How did I recover so quickly? Easy as cake! Piece of pie! I simply paid very close attention to every post made by (listed alphabetically) Fiji, James16, Merlin and MuddBuddha in the last two months. I then applied what I had learned to my trades, along with a bit of modification to fit my personality and trading style. The result? A 72% gain on my equity in two months!

Forex Factory (FF) times the Fantastic Four (FF) = FF˛ !!

Now that's a "square" deal!!

dialist, i fear this thread is going to turn into another 5min4x war (as the last 5 threads have). if it starts to get that way we are going to have to put the brakes on

btw, glad to hear your trading is going well. ive watched you go from knowing very little to being a confident trader. i have great expectations for you, pretty soon you are going to be a role model for every forex newbie out there.
Relax and be happy.

i have watched my friend also and i take no credit for his accomplishments. i have never given dial one trade recomendation, just stuff to learn which he has. you can take ten new traders and let a seasoned trader show each of them the exact same thing. it can be an entry technique or a complete trading system that has proven worthy over time. some will try a little and find disaster, some will get frustrated and quit, some will get it very quickly and get cocky and then lose it all. a few will take the attitude that i am in this for the long haul and commit themselves to the fact that becoming succesful in this business takes time, patience and many dissapointing trades while they learn. folks my first 8 years of trading i lost several hundred thousand dollars and almost my wife. you talk about a burning desire to succeed well i sure had it. i never gave up. dial has this attitude and its why i think he will be one of the few that makes it. his biggest obstacle will be between his ears, which is almost always the case in this business for everyone. new traders simply have no idea what an advantage they have now compared to 10 years ago because of the net. this forum has absolutly helped my trading. it has been a true blessing to me. i have recieved ten fold what i have given. jim

Of course you can be the rubber man! You're a flexible, resiliant kinda dude!

I sorta thought MuddBuddha could be Ben (The Thing?) since I've always thought he looked like he was covered in dried mud. But, that would mean either Merlin or Fiji would have to be the girl, and we can't have that now, can we?

Merlin, may I borrow your wand for a moment? Thanks. Okay! Listen up everyone, this is MY thread! There will be no further mention of the unmentionable here. Otherwise <tapping wand against cauldron meaningfully>, I'll take the bit of wizardry I've learned from Merlin and turn you into a Profitless PIPsqueak for the rest of the month!

NEWBIES TAKE NOTE: The quote above is a perfect example of why you are in the right forum, with the right mentors, at the right time. Jim is amazingly modest, but his wisdom speaks for itself. I've learned a great deal from Merlin, Fiji and most recently, MuddBuddha. But I've learned the most of all from Jim. Not just by what he has taught me about trading, but more importantly about generousity, kindness, patience, discipline, caring & concern and mental toughness! Thank you Jim!!!

Hey Blue! Wanna race? I'll bet you a dollar that I hit a million dollars equity before you do! With luck, it'd be a tie race. I'd enjoy your company at the top.
