You don't need Windows to runMT4 on OSx even M1 chip read this link.

I run MT4 on my old 10 year MacbookPro but I only use it when I'm watching TV or a movie'-)
It runs fine but to be honest I much prefer my PC desktop or a Windows laptop it's so much easier to navigate. imho

If you are just starting out trading you will have enough mountains to climb with out operating system quirks etc.

Keep it simple follow cpflegers lead it will short cut your learning curve and you will be trading successfully in a month.
Don't over think things just follow the colours;-)

Hello Traders !
It took a few days to go through all the posts but I can say it was worth the time. What had struck me initially was the mention of the 3-EMA's and Countertrend. A couple of lines into the introduction made it apparent that it was the KOF's strategy and along came with it the memories of how I had blown my account twice by not knowing when to exit, once on EU-GU pairs failing to bail out with little profit before the trend reversed and once on a voluminous NFP day on a volatile XU pair. Nevertheless circumstances prevented me from trading for a good period of time but I kept following his videos accepting the fact that it was not his strategy but my lack of understanding and implementation that had screwed me.

Thanks a ton Abade for starting the thread and keeping it clean. Much regards to the retired rocket man, cpfleger who has simplified and added value to the KOF's strategy with his own mix and who since day one has been spoon feeding the readers/traders, his experiences and expertise, free of cost.

By the way, had he not disclosed his identity, for his style I'd still be believing He is the KOF and that his superior English and use of Heikin Ashi candles were just a cover to hide his identity

Thanks for the help. I do my trading with a 2018 Mac Pro and I also need Windows due to the work environment. Currently running Wint MT4 with Parallels, but EUR/USD still doesn't work (the others do).

As I can see from your screenshots you don't set initial SL. Coul'd you please show a screenshot of any one lose trade? Or how do you manage the trade going against you?

P.S. I trained on the demo for several weeks, went to real, started from 500, came to 700 in 2 weeks. And then lost all in several days due to many SLs (over ZZ numbers). So I ask you for ideas of right management of the open trade.

I trade with an M1 Mac using mt4/mt5 native terminals on wine. It’s from the download on meta quotes website.

this strategy doesnt work with SL. As you can see KOF is not using SL he only add position and wait till profit. As he said its a skill . And you need big amount of equity too.

I normally do not use a SL, I added the SL feature to V4 / 5 to enable your guys to build more confidence. I have always use a very small lot size on the first trade position as defined in the RULES. On my wifes small account I can allow up to a 50% drawdown which does happen but very rare as the entry point is the most critical element to this Strategy. I have shown in the past a few losses, but I will show some if they happen this week. I still believe that the majority of you guys are entering too early like KoF does and I have stated these many times in the forum.

Try and follow the RULES even with a SL for 20 times but try and not blame the system when a reversal from the Market happens as it's not the system fault, it's the Market. You have to TRUST something which is YOUR System.
