good work on the early morning short. I suspect you will see more of those over the next week or two as earnings come out
along with some increasingly important economic news. spotting a handful of patterns/setups you are comfortable with definitely helps.
late morning for me, errands to run, etc.
looked in just before the NY lunch hour and saw it hovering around the whole number,
took a short for plus 20T. I'm getting a sense of fear in the market. the push to coerce/gaslight the fed (uncle Jay) into backing off
the tightening, seems to be getting fragile. one so-so earning from msft and it heads south, tonight tesla with only about a 3%
market weight reports, but we all know how noisy that can be.

the adx might be stuck in "undetermined" mode today, considering what is beginning tmro. no trades for me since weds last week. managed an
early look this morning in prior to the NY open and took plus 24T long on an uptrend above the "blue line". it was also prior to an economic release which I
thought might provide some attraction and prior positioning to the HOD. yea a little news trading, which is always risky, but it worked out. I think it
will range for the day with the occasional spike. we will see. considering ignoring the next couple of days to do some awful tax preparation....well maybe.

I have been in a similar boat, tax prep began last wednesday, then (thurs) we were invaded by a small battalion of out of town family. they're flying
out tonight, but have days of catch up to do. will try to look in but will be sparse for a bit. hopefully some other "viewers" might post a chart or
two.
you are adapting well to conditions as they have been changing, I need to work on that.

..took the longs and a lucky break with the trade management just now during Powell. {image}
and watched it hesitate around the 4145 level. thought with the looks of todays' price action after powell, why not a short. wrong move and a
minus 24T. stay with the trend esp. with that 40pt W below. so reversed and went long for a plus 24T. when I don't have time to watch it closely
I loose my "feel" a bit for price action. back to the minor leagues for batting practice. anyways, good trade, I'll try to pop in this week again.

had about 30 minutes to take a look in. thought I would step it up a bit on an ES trade, with a "too tight" trailing stop. well it
worked for a plus 4T long. might have to open it up a bit, but have other issues to deal with today, so will have to be a back test after hours.
missed a short that never came back to my entry at 4150 which promptly sold off 40 plus ticks. still gauging my risk on ES vs MES sizing.

still messing around with the ES. slow time of day so bumped my trailing stop up to +6 after it hits plus 8. knowing full well it would probably hit (which it
did for plus 6 short). next level TS up plus 14 to hit at plus 10 but never made it. price action was moving 3-5T at a time, so pretty predictable.
always crucial to get direction right since I am only going for singles and doubles rather than triples and homers. will probably adjust it again next week
as I'll have a bit more time to look in earlier during the NY session. lots of potential volatility on tap next week with econ news. have a good weekend

waded back in after the news release. decided that trailing stops were a nuisance with the current price movement. first trade looked to be
a breakout from structure, but minus 24T. too early for the second one, also a minus 24T. (Trailing Stops would have helped here). 3rd trade same
approach for a plus 24T. lots of activity around the 4120-35 area. the litany of subsequent fed speakers probably didn't help. first 2 trades on
a 24T range bar chart, 3rd on a 32T bar chart but showing it below on the 24T one for clarity. using the correct chart for trading makes a difference.
oh well. the ES moves a bit different from the MES, so still coming to grips. hope all is well.
