cpfleger , let me briefly explain the Moving Average strategy that I know for FF readers
*Price(SimpleMA 0 /Line Chart)
*Trigger (LWMA 6/7/8/9)
Trends:
*EMA-small ( 9,10,11,12)
*EMA-middle (14-20)
*EMA-big (21-50)
1. Trend buy
if the bottom EMA big, above the middle EMA and the top EMA small
EMAsmall>EMAmiddle>EMAbig
1.a Follow trends
open Buy would be good if:
TrendBuy and LL/LH have formed and price crosses the trigger from the bottom to up
1.b Countertrend
openSell on trendBuy and have formed new HH/HL , SupDem line, and price crosses the trigger from top to bottom
2. Trend Sell = opposite of Trend Buy
You can use any of the LWMA and EMA values
because they are just measuring scales
What needs to be considered is to be loyal to the values that you have been using for a long time
to be able to generate a lot of Pips, you should be able to use the Follow Trend and CounterTrend Strategies at the same time
