Just a piece of advice. Try and save your mt platform on a memory stick/flash disk/other hard drive. When my mt4 platform crashed on my laptop, I've just downloaded the mt4 platform on my PC onto a memory stick and uploaded back onto laptop. Back up and running in a matter of minutes.

I therefore do have two similiar mt4 platforms with all the indicators and set-ups - on my laptop and PC. Great for back-ups.

hi can you explain to me what the red and green dots represent exactlly on the phil nel indicator?.. Im assuming it shows the touches of the 21 EMA.. but its sometimes shows dots when theres no touches or its under it?

Can someone explain so I know what Im watching?

the red and blue dot indicate the sell and buy signal of the indicator that you have on the chart.
Of course not each signal is good.
Personally i do not use it, because it gives too many signal

so its a couple of pips above or below the 21 EMA if the MAangle is in the correct position etc etc..

it's a couple of pips within the war zone that is the area between the 10 ema and the 21 ema.

For a long signal price must be below the 10 ema but above the 21 ema
for a sell signal price must be above the 10 ema but below the 21 ema

and the angle of 50 sma must be steep enough

The rule is that the 21EMA on the Angle window must be at 0.1 or-0.1 to start looking for a trade but sometimes the setup is perfect between 0 and 0.1. If the setup looks OK(you will know by experience) you can take it. The reason for the 21EMA above .1 is to get you in a bit later as it give some false signals at the beginning of a move. Then I will look for only 2 setups per move. If news was very good you can get 3

The first one was ok, but hit my stop loss: -8,3 pips
The second one was a little bit risky but I had a good feeling about it. Got stopped out at break even with +1,0 pips

EUR/USD

3 trades, 3 winner. The second one was annoying as I got stopped out at break even (+1 pip). I've set my sl to break even after +6 pips...
Result: +1,0 ; +1,0 ; +5,9

GBP/USD

Could you please explain the meaning of the little coloured triangles and circles. Also the way you write the pips /trade, what does that mean.

triangles are entries and exits, circles are stops - as well as profit stops and stop losses.

Regarding the pips I don't understand what you mean? These pips are just the pips I took.

I just had a quick look at your trades - well done in what I consider a difficult trading day. I didn't trade yesterday - played golf (being a Wednesday). I was looking for set-ups late in the US sessions but after a while I decided to let go - no trading even if one comes along. It was just one of those decisions - if you don't feel good about the market, leave your PC. Many more trades to come.

today one cable long +12 and during the news 1min chart cable short, also in london session one gbpjpy long 293.35 for +5. that is all, very very difficult day.

This my only trade today.
Maybe is the same that you took ,Blanca.

I have been trading this method for about three weeks now. It is going well for me. I take small profits 4,5 or 6 pips at a time, (will improve on that). Thanks to Philip and all of you (Golfer, Blanca and everyone) for posting your trades.
