Is your system based on a gut feeling or can it be quantified in some manner?
If it is working consistently for you, you don't try to fix something that isn't broken! If it isn't consistent you may want to consider alternatives.

In fact no more knowledge you need to trade. Everything explained.

In two words: stops are free fuel for big player, they helps push the price to desired level for free.

If you really want to study how market works you have to learn what limit orders are (what orderbook is), what market orders are (what orderflow is), and what stops are (they are market orders).
When you will forget all that funny thoughts about manipulations.

Basically everyone knows where the SL's are, i know, you know, smart money knows, dumb money knows. SL's are important but can also become a self made trap.
And by the way you can also use other people's SL's to your advantage, it's not exclusive to market makers.
For market makers is a question of liquidity, that's all.

I wait for obvious equal-high/low sweeps and then enter on displacement back into structure. My stop goes beyond the liquidity pool and I target the next opposing pool; reframed SL ‘manipulation’ into simply reading where orders sit.

In my opinion, stop-loss hunting doesnt really exist, because retail traders represent only a negligible share of the overall trading volume. Large market participants dont target retail stops specifically.. they simply need liquidity to move the market, and stop-loss orders happen to be one of the natural sources of that liquidity.
