thanks for the mark-up Abade, i agree with how you read it, i had a profit opportunity on the third circle and didn't take it but knew i should of, greed kept me in that trade longer than i needed to be and that can turn out to be very costly in a HIGH-RISK, HIGH-REWARD strategy - like KoF often says, "the market does not give you a second chance"

as it turned out, the TP was perfectly placed, imagine if it had missed by 1 point or i failed to close it manually again and it continued to rise up, then there would of been even more unnecessary risk to manage

so after reading your reply and as i continued to play the sim, i'm at this point where i'm considering taking a trend trade long noting that the preceding above average volumes were associated with bullish momentum and ema50 has potentially been rejected, still thinking about it!



looking forward to seeing the trend trade setups, be we must also be careful because they are the ones that will send people broke much faster than the counter trend strategy if not handled correctly, i would consider them to be in the highest risk, highest reward category - not sure what happened to chhico, hope he pops back in soon though



i know the feeling and it's not nice at all! but i've never tried to KoF my way out of any bad trade, i simply can't afford to with 30:1 leverage, and maybe that's a good thing


and more generally for all to consider, especially those who lay claim that the strategy is not profitable , firstly, show me a strategy that is profitable for every single person, secondly, trying to follow KoF's style of running the strategy is futile, and he tells us that all the time, you need to DEVELOP your own style of running the strategy - because no matter how scientific or mechanical you are, if you aren't running this system like an artisan, where you can show off your unique trading style and place your signature on it, then you aren't running it right

hello chris, here's my response to the three problems you have acknowledged

1\ nobody knows if its a peak in advance, that is impossible, the market is ALWAYS uncertain

2\ you need to continue working on your risk management and trading psychology until it is no longer a problem

3\ that is everyone's problem, there is no holy grail, and this system is not advertised as one

no problem chris, we all search for the right solution - i've been searching since 2009 one or two hours a day after work every day, mostly learning, then started trading full time live just over a year ago starting with ea's, then watched a couple of webinars from ic markets spouting the usual nonsense showing a scalping system using fibs, tp's and sl's - placed many thousands of trades during this time all to end up a bit less than break even, that's a lot of work for no profit

then about 4 months ago i stumbled onto one of KoF's live stream replays and it immediately resonated with me, and after watching only half an hour, i IMMEDIATELY started making consistent profits until i hit my first drawdown and took a loss and gave it back because i realised i didn't know how to handle it - its at that point i realised i needed a LOT further study and EVEN MORE practice to make it successful which it has been for me so far, the learning never ends

trading is a skill not a job, remember, "you have to want it as badly as you want to breathe"!
