I see a lot of you are caught up with my trades and trying to analyse them as some sort of key to success, but please do not do that. If you're reading this thread you're looking for RTM material and I am definitely not the one to look to for that. I've clearly strayed of the path and gone elsewhere given the feedback I've received after posting here. If you however feel like what I post and what you post are somewhat similar, do not hesitate to send me a messag and I will do my utmost to reply to you, because I have been and still am in a very...

Two perfect entries on Gold recently. The first one was 22:1 RR, the second one was effective 25:1 RR.{image}

High R trades means you are using very tight stops, thats ok but you will be stopped out frequently , you need to be mentally strong to deal with streak of losses and seeing trades that stop you out but eventually go into your direction, the high R will cover your losing trades but just be mentally strong.

Had a beautiful trade today with EURUSD short. Only 1.1 pips in drawdown to capture 26 pips, so effective 24:1 RR trade, superb banked here. And I exited 3 pips earlier than planned, so with original target I would exit just 1 pip below the low here. So all in all an insane good trade.

RR = TP / ( SL + fees). Drawdown has nothing to do with RR. Question is where was your stop? Nevertheless nice catch.

It has because I calculate the edge ratio, where the edge is. The edge ratio is calculated as MAE/MFE so max. adverse excursion versus max. favorable excursion so how much in went against me versus how much it advanced me. Because with this approach I can truly measure the ability to be great profitable. If you knew the RTM approach and watched the author his videos you would know it better, that it is all about having no drawdown, because he hates drawdowns. That is why this is the true measurement and nothing else. It is all about minimizing drawdowns. Even on author his charts he is calculating a RR of e.g. 40:1 from his drawdown when he entered.

To me these are 2 different things. So after how many pips in drawdown would you close the trade?

Beautiful entry with less than 0.5 pip drawdown, and then caught 18 pips profit, so effective 36:1 RR trade.

You did not risk 0.5 pips, so RR cannot 36:1. Feels good to have managed that little drawdown, but that's not what's used to calculate RR.

if before taking the trade you decided to put your stop loss at 0.5 pips and your stop doesnt hit then yes your R will be 36 x your risk, but if you put your stop loss say 10 pips away which is still very tight your RR will be 1.8 or even around 1.5 if you count commissions, trade with 0.5pips stop loss and look how many times you will be stopped out from both good and bad trades, the reward on trade is based on the distance where the stop loss is placed not on the max drawdown since your entry, thats all what the members here tried to explain to you , anyway nice trades and good luck

Great entry with only 2 pips drawdown (very nearly stopped out but luckily not) and then made +21 pips on EU long trade, so 10:1 RR trade based on its drawdown.

Should I post my trades, or are you not happy with them like I show you those ? I do not get any likes here or rarely. So this is open question to me. I do not need this.
