suspecting price will raid the liquidity i marked out in H1 above.... let us see what happens now??????

that is it my one and only trade today, calling it a day now, not going to try to push it in these market conditions and price consolidations.

Been a wierd week so far. I was beginning to think i lost my "feel" after taking a couple weeks off. It's the beginning of the year so I suppose some weirdness is to be expected. Had to revert to using low level skews to capture some pips for risking when the opportunity presents itself. Happy New Year to you and Alex!

Hi Dustin

no you have not lost your 'feel', the price movements in G/U at least anyway have been weird this week so far, if you look at the daily chart you will see it is in a walled city but on a daily that is normally still tradeable, market is waiting for something and MM's are playing with us meanwhile to cause confusion and create killing fields, you can see in USDX that they are in assassin MO, just have to wait it out or take small easy scalps here and there, i am not trading today as i have an appointment in a couple of hours.

My man is ranging setting up orders to hunt after CPI news maybe? Took early short to hunt liquidity after they stop hunted early sellers.

TBH wanted to go long but I have a bias in my head which i do not like so left it alone.

i suspect you are correct about 'them' setting up for CPI later today.

we all miss trades, it is part of trading and especially the way the market has been so far this week with MM's doing everything to confuse us into taking a wrong trade, you know what the sayings ... 'no trade is also a trade' and 'better to be out of a trade than wishing you was not in it at all'.

i had a lay in this morning, i will wait to see what the CPI does before i consider another trade yet.

Hi Alex

you were spot on with them setting up orders, figures were as expected so they hunted the stops/ducks both sides (pigs to the slaughter), that is why i did not trade, will see what NY offers next but no trade here for me yet.

I am long. They set up the pretend topping on my h1 today with some lovely stuff sitting below too. They took liquidity on top before the news then whacked it south to take that post news- I took the bounce long due to the news and they have been hitting sell side liquidity to buy from all week.

The only news event so far I actually felt i knew what I was doing TBH.

Out now. I had to watch m1 for the detail as it helped me. I am quite shocked this worked out. I always got lost at these.

as i said part of my MO now is just targeting 3-4 50+ pips a week moves, so i have no problem standing aside, here is my pre NY open trade.

longs make money, short make money and pigs get slaughtered, hope you are beginning to understand this saying a little more now.

Thanks for the kind wishes but I am having to work on my daughters house with her husband. So will be happy to get home as soon as I can, good luck with everything and make sure you and Dustin catch all the pips I am missing out on.
