Please don’t believe that, it’s totally a lie and utter bullshit. For your own sake demo for a week on a Futures platform and see how it really works.
It wouldn’t even be 1% close.
As an example a 1 minute bar at the top of a big move may be 60 times bigger in volume than a bar 20 minutes earlier.
Often on EURUSD, 20% of the daily volume may occur in only a few candles, something tick volume won’t show.

Just look for yourself if you don’t believe me
