I find that it is very significant daily resistance going way back and near also !

I imagine that if bulls hold on to this high volatility through to next week though, greater chances of it getting even more seriously challenged than during last month.

All my >0650 buy stops are canceled. It okay to be ambitious, but that was hours ago ! nearest SL(20sma) is now at 1.06443, and nearest TP is 0652 (see 3H Monday's big momma bear that started this whole thing ! That 3H high shadow start(open) is TP )

Never too late my beautiful bear: 20SMA SL hit at last, closing 3 positions shared above. Took you long enough bears, and it is ok

Now I suspect normal micro ranging till end. So scalping still.

But I still keep the rest. Closest SL now is 0637 and then 0629, 2 nearest TPs are 0652 and 0669.

Will close more before the close, as these are mainly intraday setups only. I will keep most of my lowest ones(<06), because 4H closed above all of wednesday and thursday, then price followed straight above it, giving a 4H breakout potential very real.

What a first week of the year folks ! So many ups and downs, growing this and that

So to summarise Friday

If Eur news is Bad EU will go UP

If USD News is Good EU will go UP

So when will EU go down ??

Anyway it seems Bull Trap with monthly high of 1.0744 to be printed and all bears SL taken out.

Then fresh bear fall will come all the way to parity

All the above is just assumption and personal view nothing to do with fundamental and technical

not open or watch yesterday afternoon and now see ran below 0500 to above 0634 and so exactly following parabola as sr in the top ranging . so next bull target can be 0682 breaking previous limit 0649, better target exactly may be 0706. lets see next before may to go short again! take care

EURUSD managed to recover all the weeks losses and closed above the weekly trendline, the monthly S1 pivot level, the 1.0506 support and the 1.0574 resistance turned support for second time and 1.0637 < possible Monday pivot after I open at the European session - a big range.

Next week the volatility I expect to see is 140 pips and in the news the US CPI's will be the most interesting release to watch for more. The consensus looks for a worst number but EURUSD may fall down to take more orders before that so we have to wait until Thursday and until then we may see 1.0788 but I am warning you, on the daily and above timeframes there will be many ups and downs until we see a real break out from this pair, it could take weeks or months until we see this pair moving with a directional bias. So beware of strategies that fade tops and bottoms yet!

Quick Daily Outlook for Monday-Tuesday

To keep it as simple and clean as it gets:

  1. I anticipate that developing structure is going to either form a Bearish-Cypher or Bearish-Shark! Therefore, as soon as the D leg is completed somewhere between 1.0683 and 1.0773 sell pressure could appear! Marked in red on chart!
  2. While patterns are forming, 1.0589 area will stay as my nearest support! Marked in blue on chart!
  3. While D1 candles are inside the channel, bulls have the upper hand, but since I trade M30, this information is irrelevant to me!
  4. As I mentioned on Friday, I personally favor a bearish-shark that hopefully completes around 1.0744. There I want to look for sell opportunities.
