nice move on silver.
also took this explosion up on DOW, not to derail thread, but daily pivots work wonderfully (on indices).....look at that retested support at S100

Hi friend glad you still here!Pivots are gold ! I cant trade without it.Goes all the way to floor traders.They used to calculate them by hand.Livermore did as well.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

Absolutely. I cannot trade without them either. The additional elements of price action and fundies is what truly makes this system click. The great thig is it works on ALL instruments.......forex, metals, indices. I'm sure it works on individual shares as well, but I do not trade them.

many, many traders act according to pivots, it's almost a silent law that many trade the pivots at the pivot extremes, they align their trading with them and that's why it works very often

if you are looking to day trade davits style i noticed that the adr high and low is often reversal point. works extremely well with HIGH RR

I use atr 20, don't ask me why, because honestly I don't know why, I set it up a very long time ago.

(I also use ADR_v2 indi, the highest ADR shown is 20, so maybe that is why I choose 20 for my ATR_lines indi)

i use ATRPeriod 5 because the trading week has 5 days and we want to see the average of the 5 days.

I ckecked my ATR indi again, and I realized that I can not change the atr#, so it was pre-set at 20 all along.

Atr 5 makes sense to me too. I will from now on obeserve both and see which suits me better.

I prefer the 20, as it provides a larger sample size. The 5 day may include 1-2 days where ADR was far above/below the norm.
