I am not able to install flatpak getting permission denied error.

Can any one help with this.?

Or if some one has the step by step instructions, please share.

No available time at present.

Suggestion:

  1. If you do not get sorted I suggest install a clean Mint 21 on another SSD if you have one available and install wine as per link this thead. https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...0#post14271310
  2. That will give you a working system until you can get things sorted out.
  3. SSDs are suer cheap these days.

Had a super fast look on ebay for cheap SSD - do your own research - (for these cheapies Samsung has reputaion as being fast - Samsung Pro is usually faster than EVO or EVO Plus, but needs checking against specs when comparing models ).

£13 ($15.68) for Samsung 850 EVO 120GB 2.5" SATA SSD MZ-75E120 MZ7LN12

I was actually trying to install on Oracle VM Arm64 Based Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Is it possible do to install Wine/Bottles/MT4/5 on this system ?

What you think? Since this OCI VM is completely free of cost with 4CoreCPU & 24GB RAM.

Hi! I actually don't know the answer but my first guess is that on a not-lightweight Ubuntu, you should have more flexibility than a lightweight version such as Lubuntu. Wine requires a few options that you may have on regular Ubuntu and not on Lubuntu. Lubuntu should be "cooler" for embedded programming, like Raspberry Pi and some FPGA boards...

I got it installed Wine 6.0 for 64bit on Lubuntu but not able to run exe files though Wine 64bit as when i try to execute any exe files though wine it says Wine32 missing.

  1. Wine installed on machine with the above long term support kernel - no problems. .
  2. Installed Bottles on another exact spec machine [ 32GB memory ] with the same above Kernel - intermittent freezing of apps become intolerable.
  3. Uninstalled and reverted to bog standard wine - no problems.
  4. Besides the above - before the problems manifested - so, so tending towards nah fuck the hype, I don't actually like the way this thing works.
