I need to transfer my MT4 data history to a new install of MT4 ........I DON'T want to download from the history center .....it doesn't have all the data .

I go into History , then my brokers folder and there I copy all the .hst files ...... but when I paste them in the new install of MT4 I'm not getting the data when I load a chart .

You can use this app created by hanover to download price history from broker.

I see two possibilities why it wouldn't work the way you tried.

  1. Make sure you are in the right history folder. Open the target MT4 and go to Main menu -> File -> Open data folder. Close the target MT4. Copy the files to the broker's folder. Copying history folders between different brokers may or may not work (depending on the symbol configurations of the two brokers).
  2. Make sure you copy history files when the target MT4 is closed.
