Russian System v 2.68

Hello everybody,

i stumbled across the attached screenshot which looked very surprising to me for an EA. All i could find out about it, is that some russian called connect495 found a grid system in which he could reduce the risk and drawdowns and i also found this screenshot attached, but nothing more.
Does anybody have an idea about this EA? About how it works or has it anybody available?

Well, what i found out from a mathematical view on it, there are two types of markets, and two types of grid:

1. trending market: deadly for a traditional grid system that waits for a pullback
2. ranging market: deadly for a grid system as in the post above (i guess)

So maybe a combination of the two will lead to better, safer results? Of course, that are still grid systems, but maybe we can determine how far the drawdown will go or calculate it somehow and determine how much money for quite a safe system is needed?

How long can trend be? And how long can ranging market last? --> theoretically there is no limit, therefore sooner or later it will fail.


By quick view at the video: there is just pyramiding with lot increase in the direction of movement, and same lotsize grid in reversal. (which actually can be dropped out if pyramiding done with less beautiful numbers.) --> Therefore problem is not ranging or trending market, problem is in increasing range of ranging market. That is less popular, might be worth trying. However, notice that one trade group per day, 5k balance and only 100 profit (author probably used best combination he could find) --> 0.2% of daily profit. --> ~40% of yearly profit. --> Is it worth gaining 40% per year with risk of losing entire capital?

I saw this too and even joined the russian forum. i agree tih your thinking just not sure on how to set it up. Wanna share any test that you have done? im not sure if anyone has something that "works" or why would they share it tbh.
