DislikedHad a pm saying that some trade sp500 on the one minute. I always thought 5 minute gives a better view and time to think? Does anyone have an opinion on scalping times for sp500? Naz and Dow always seem lightning fast and dangerous on the 5 minute time frame. The sp500 I thought was a more refined creature not given to racing about? {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} When I first started this adventure I was using the 1-minute. I was having trouble determining from a minor M1 structure break and a more significant structure break. At that point I took everything back to the 15-minute until I started my study of Brooks. Now I trade everything off the M5. I occasionally look at a higher time frame, such as the Daily I posted. Trading as I do there really is no need to over complicate with FVGs, higher time frame S/R, fibs, whatever else. Yes, some do trade the SP500 off the M1. Many use some form of volume....Ignored
Disliked{quote} MES was a bounce off the Q75 level. This is also Tuesday's 24hour open. That open -the 24 hour open after 1700 EST- will sometimes carry over as into the next day providing possible .S/R. It's looking weak to the top so it may break down soon.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I am sticking to the 5 minute since and no lower. Like you -look at what's going on. Still looking at momentum on 5 minutes - just a couple of points a time often possible as on bar breaks the previous "thrust" bar. just need the gonads to put real money on it.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Learn to use momentum when price moves through highs and lows. It often gives 3 to 8 points if nothing else.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Realistically ( probably statistically) it is easier to get 3 to 8 points than it is to hit out for home runs that some seem to advocate. Little and often. Still need tight stops and iron discipline for that sort of thing. {image}Ignored
