Yes, this is why it's better to be light or out in front of these reports. I got lucky this time, but could've been a massacre. I reshorted again at 14020.

After seeing the Swiss peg break in 2015 I tend to only use guaranteed stops on CFD's to put the risk on the broker rather than myself. I'm quite happy to pay the 2-3 pip premium if they get hit. Exceptions being trading EUR/USD.

Only drawback is that they don't cover for weekend gap risk.

As I wrote many times, this is not a fair game for we humans.
It is a well directed crazy financial world where few get a lot of gains and most a lot of losses.

Yeah I remmebr that day, as I had a couple positions FESX (Eurostoxx50 futures) and 1 FDAX in place, but wtih large stop loss, as usual I do.
so both positions recovered day after, luckily.
But on CHF pairs/positions it was massacre!!Luckily I didnt trade FX pairs that time.

.5 would be the natural, then .25 after and pause. However, this would be obvious, hence it could not happen.

and ironically if you see in depth today CPI data they not seem so good as US futures price indicate....... -0.2% is nothing, imho.
But that is and I have to follow the shepherd as a sheep does if I want gain some money here!

I'm trying to anticipate the next move, always. Unfotunately, as that other quote says, mkt can stay foolish more than I can stay solvent. I guess today will be a small bloodbath for me. I'll have to wait for the squeeze at the open to purge before adding more. And then, we could go to next week easily.
