Um, is there any version of this EA that opens orders past the 2nd level in grid? I have tried 4.73, 4.79 and 4.31 and none of them open more than 2 orders in a grid in one direction using atr... I would think for all of this development someone besides me would have encountered this issue...

New guy here, how come I can backtest the original Icarus_2.2.mq4 and it will execute trade but when I try a backtest on Ikarus4.73, no trades are executed?


Can I just make sure I'm setting up ok. So when I set up, I select these options?
Expert Advisor > OnChartEvent > OnTester

I am particularly interested in the long term testing of this set file. It is easy to have low drawdown and high profit for a couple of months, but it is extremely hard to make this sustainable for more than 1 year. Can Jarass1080 post long term test?

I did not see your statement that you do not run it 24/5.
So thats a bit of mixing your own personal strategy and the triggering of Ikarus. Now I understand.

My own goal for Ikarus to be able to survive long term in multi currency without any intervention. It is possible, but not with outlandish profits. You just have to understand each settting and manage your risk.

I have to admit it does appear to have a lot of promise but the tester takes ages to optimise. The settings really stack up to be big numbers over time.
