As I write, Lagarde is discussing inflation and normalisation path at the Atlantic Council event in Frankfurt. You can watch it on Bloomberg and CNBC TV. Key points she said:
"We'll continue hiking interest rate in next several meetings. We'll do what we have to do. Our primary goal is not to reduce growth, not creating a recession."
"We're not at neutral rate yet".
We'll have Powell later. But he'll give a "welcome speech", so what's the chance he'll squeeze monetary policy talk into that short 10 mins speech?
Price wise, on 1H timeframe, 50-SMA capping upmove is at 0.9615, while 200-SMA is at 0.982.
