I have closed this trade because of the rate that would be announced today, my gain was wipe out the last time a very good news came out from the US. I don't want to be at the wrong side of the news this time around so, I closed minimal gain. Capital preservation is key. From the daily chart below, the trade remains valid except price closes below 113% fib level. If the rate is raised I will look for how i will buy the dollar on other pairs otherwise I will remain on the sideline

Federal Funds Rate ('Actual' greater than 'Forecast' is good for currency, The rate decision is usually priced into the market, so it tends to be overshadowed by the FOMC Statement, which is focused on the future Whatever happens, I'm expecting price to rally into the PRZ of this monthly USDJPY chart. I am still waiting for the completion of that AB=CD and the Head and shoulders patterns

CadJPY holds a potential long tern opportunity too but my only concern is that Saudi Arabia and Russia are cooking up stuff for the west in the winter, any oil output cut would lead to increase in fuel price and you know what that means? Yeah, cad would get its' mojo back if not that I would have long been in this trade. I can never say never, so I will keep watch.

On the other hand a double bottom and a gartley are also in play too. so I will still wait on this too.
