I decided to close my long trade right at top of short time res, good for 48 pips.. looks like the 0 line is holding well for now.. if it breaks out hard I be kicking myself.. hey what can you do we live and die with our decisions.. however, the recent move and momentum is against it more likely a bear run to break the small bracket, which I am disappointed for missing my sell limit order again by a hair lol will see maybe it test the top again.

@Lcky I am in your camp as well - not for technical reasons all fundamentals. WHY?

Look at the USA numbers for the past few days and compare them to the EU numbers and it's a tale of two continents.

For the USA the numbers indicate that the economy is slowing but the consumer is far from giving up. Yes recent data appears "weaker" but did anyone really LISTEN to the FED chairman???? The FED will raise rates by 0.75% next week - end of story; or is it? There are whispers of a possible 1.0% rate increase. YUP! Personally I thought that was BS but until the US consumer stops consuming how will the demand part slow down? In addition the USA housing market is still too hot. There is demand but little supply; especially for houses under 150,000. The FED HAS to run the US economy into the ground in order to get inflation under control - the sticky part of inflation (WAGES).

People may not want to hear it but it HAS to happen: US unemployment has to reach 5-6% or more. The FED needs so many people out of work so that businesses can re-hire them at lower wages, hence controlling inflation.

Housing prices needs to fall 10-20% for the FED but in order for that to happen massive demand has to stop - i.e., interest rates of 5% and up will stop most of the housing market - my concern is that it will allow for commercial buyers to swoop in and make a killing.

Now lets turn to the EU shall we? Energy is the #1 problem and it isn't getting any better. Natural gas prices will continue to skyrocket forcing Europe into a cold dark winter (GOT anyone?) The EU will likely stop raising or limit it's hikes to 0.5% MAX because it is not in the same boat as the US.

Look when the US continues raising rates the dollar HAS to continue it's climb. If/when the European stock market begins to crash they take their euro's and trade them for dollars to purchase US stocks/bonds (wealth preservation).

To me any bump in the EUR represents another selling opportunity until the "washout"

Sure prices can go up and down and you can trade any direction at any time. I went short last night and got stopped out for a 30 pip loss because I didnt' wait until today. So today I rebought and I'm short again.

I can tell you this Lcky: ANYONE who tells you they know with certainty where the market is headed is either full of themselves or delusional. E-waves are useful but ask 20 EW guru's where we are now and I bet you get 25 possible scenario's.

0.9966 is the price I am interested to see the reaction at. If this level get's owned by bears I will be shorting until 0.989.

A couple of details are going to prove 'problematic' with your explanation and challenging for the fed. Rising minimum wages make it difficult to fire workers and hire others or the same workers back at lower wages for one. A second is rising material costs for housing make it more difficult to build less expensive housing. So there is some inflation that won't go away. The system has to absorb it. A rising US dollar and lower priced imports can help with inflation but this actually robs the US of its ability to be self-sufficient. Economic challenges!
