Depends on the guy's timeframe. In every data/news release, both bulls and bears can be correct depending on their strategy, system and timeframe. That said, I do agree that the U.S. is looking to aggressively hike rates again, as confirmed by Powell's reassurances to hold back the recession in his last speech. However, economic developments in Eurozone seem to suggest that the ECB is beginning to eye aggressive rate hikes as well. While the major trend has absolutely been bearish for a majority of the year due to market-making geopolitical events, things are bound to change in the coming months or next year. Anything can happen, and honestly, any retail trader can be correct.

I got to say that more money is to be made if you play their game right. Past few months close to 85% success rate anticipating its moves during big options expiries.
