The only answer I can think is, when all the buyers from 1.0047 take profit, or when the supply will exceed demand - more sellers than buyers join the trend (non retail, and retail some times).

Now it looks like, demand is leading the price to yesterdays high where bulls might want to cover their long positions below a higher low. Then, a key developement in price action should be a break of this level (decision point) that will be created before the fact* hypothetically in 15 minutes chart where I look -> fact* gap close.

It can also happen in a high timeframe like 4H, so the price may need more time to develop and create space for the seller to agree on a higher price so it can profit.

But the best answer here in your question is that, no one knows what will happen in the future, so the gap may never close.

Good place to go short is 1.0235 - 1.0260. IMO l, the whole week is going to be the battle between 1.0170 - 1.0270.
