All members voted in July for the 75BP, but the big takeaway is that they also saw "Hazard" that feds would tighten too much. I see 50BP on Sept 21 now, and this could be the last this year. But time will tell. This should be bearish for USD in the coming months.

Highest for now is 2250. I expect it to rise higher tomorrow. Slowly but surely. However, the main direction is still down.

Quick update.

Went long three times at key level (S1) today. Closed those trades with 64 pips gain.

I'm expecting a short rally on the EURUSD, which could ultimately be sold off later.
My plan is to go long again when price retraces down to 1.0155 (S1) and 1.012 (S2). May be on Thu or Fri.

When EURUSD dipped close to 1.000 level, commercial interests are expected to step into the market, buying a large pile of Euros, resulting in a quarter to half a cent price spike like the one we saw between 3-4pm London time. Speculative side then quickly long back the dollar.
We saw that two days in a row (in marked arrows).

My feeling is that the downward pressure on EURUSD is not over yet, if:

  1. Rally we saw post-CPI last week was temporary, and level between 50% and 61.8% Fib was just transition stage
  2. We're still in the fourth phase of Wyckoff distribution

Powell already said that they will keep hiking until we see three times 0.2% MoM inflation rates. If you can forecast inflation you are better than the FED…

2 points here:

1. Feds can't keep hiking rates until we hit that target. The interest on the National Debt will be too tremendous.
2. Feds have historically rarely been right when trying to predict inflation, and Powell has proven that over and over as he thought it would be "transitory."

I can't predict inflation, but I know I can't trust the Feds to do it either.
