How long have they been down? I just woke up and I have a bunch of trades and orders I need to check on/close out. The market is moving fast now (especially yen pairs), and Oanda has proven unreliable AGAIN. Incredibly annoying.

Now, desktop app it's working again...bad experience with server disconnections, but at least I have learnt to trade with pending orders and TP set for any trade...

Good morning, I'm usign a demo account with OANDA and I see that when a new "Financing" row appears in the history tab, the open trades are closed at the sime time.

Could you explain why open trades are closed?

I haven't found any reports on problems with the Demo platform, so we would need to investigate it further. Can I request you send an email to our team so they can look into this for you? Alternatively, you can also contact us via chat for a quicker resolution.

I already have and my second relationship manager responds the same way.

Like he doesn't know what I'm talking about and with the same canned responses.

Remember this discussion was whether or not Oanda trades against me.

So if he says he doesn't know what I'm talking about, you say that it depends on the location and I can clearly see reflexive price action against even my AGGREGATE position then who do I believe?

If that is happening to you and i am not necessarily doubting you, i dont see how screen recording software cant reveal that,
if you put OANDA whatever (charts, position ticker ...) along side some third party charts.

I am now beginning to doubt your motives.
With broker signature you have and strange question you are asking, as if who trades against you will solve anything if price is manipulated.

is there ways to protect my account to the fullest? think i'm just paranoid but as my account balance is growing very rapidly just wandering if there is additional steps, software or anything i can do to increase my security?

I use Tradingview to trade my demo account with Oanda. I had a trade just go through my SL without it being executed (USDJPY). When I try to close out the position I get the message you see in the pic. It says my order can't be filled because my instrument has been halted-contact Oanda. I checked the Oanda app and the forex pairs do not seem to be moving even though the market is open. I have sent Oanda an email. But anyone know why this would haappen? I realize this is just a demo account but I was planning on funding my real account with them in just a few weeks. I would hate for this to happen with a real money account.

@StrandedBill: we are working on the rollout of MT5 for UK clients but I don't have a timeline for this. I appreciate the patience!

@Matt8643: I've investigated this and it seems there was an issue with demo accounts not updating, that's why you saw the message displayed. This has been fixed now. But can you let us know here if you see anything else?

If you can go to your bank and proceed with wire deposit and send us a wire receipt screenshot to see if we can provide pre-funding (*We cannot guarantee that pre-funding can be approved) and in the meantime kindly monitor your open positions and if needed, close some of your positions to free up your margin. If your account still stays under-margined at 3.45 PM ET, your account will trigger a margin closeout.
