These are great setups. Was the EJ sell based on the 4H?

quite right, H4 showed the start of the setup, then zoom in with lower TF (H1, M30, M15..) and M5 was the trigger on a pullback, the exit was on the first RSI reversal. If I zoomed out to higher TF I could have stayed a bit longer, but it doesn't matter, maybe next time I will confirm with higher TF.

do you look for the same pullback setup on the H4 as the M5? also, why do you prefer H4 over D1?

I would if my setup TF is D1, then my pullback would be a lower TF like H4 or H1. H4 presents more opportunities than D1.

Do you use SR on the higher time frames? I was planning on following the first post, trade in the direction of the daily candle and trade the pullbacks on M5 but use H1 for SR.

SR are useful for entry points of price rejection on resistance or bounce off support and also for target projection. I use PVSRA or SonicR Access panel which provide all what I need, you can choose which type of SR you want to display.

No, I'm still using M5 but this chart illustrates what I said earlier.

1. check direction of d1 candle
2. look for entry points on h1/h4 based on trend direction and SR
3. look for trades on m5

Am I understanding correctly?

yes, check direction of D1,
wait for setups on H4 in the same direction,
zoom down to H1 and check the RSI changing color, (I'm using the histogram but you can use the original above /below 50) if price already ahead of you don't run after it, zoom further down until you get a better entry on a pullback.
once you place your trade and SL plan your exit on a near by S/R or on the next change in RSI color (if you got out too soon it's ok, you can wait for re-entry on the next change in color provided the trend is still valid) if you see more than three pullbacks on the M5 be very careful of a reversal, zoom back up and see what's happening, look at the daily wick, is it getting longer.... I keep the H4 and D1 candles on the same chart (you can get the last three candles by applying Anycandlegroup.mq4 twice and choose the H4 and D for TF and shift them apart to get adequate space between them).
I think its very important NOT to take all setups, and trade in high volatility sessions like London start or NY start. Exit at London close if price is going no where and your target is not reached.
I also find ForextrenHero very useful in watching for new setups on different TF, you can choose 4 different TF.
