I have had cataract surgery on both my eyes now. Probably due to much monitor screen time.

I have been working on a new trading system. I have been testing it, and it works well. I have been testing the system on the 1 hour and 4 hour.

It works best on the 4 hour chart.

It's a line chart that uses 4 moving averages, but one of the moving average lags behind and it's an insurance policy moving average. It will tell you if and when you take the trade. So far out of 33 trades, it has won 22 trades. I want to make 100 trades before I bring it public here.

I'm going to call the new trading system " The Mirror "

I think it can help a lot of traders make a profit.

When I look at any chart, that chart is sending a message. The trick is, how to read it. What is the trend ?

These are moving "simple" averages that I use only on the 4 hour chart. (The 4 hour chart.)

The 10 moving average, no shift

The 22 moving average with the shift at 3,

The 40 moving average with the shift at -22,

The 72 moving average, no shift

This what I call, " The Mirror system "

It operates best on the 4 hour chart, it does work well for Forex.

This is how it works for a buy trade.

This is how it works, the 10 & 22 moving averages are out in front telling you which way the trend in going. (This is your scout team). At some point they will cross telling you it's time to buy. Now, you don't enter the trade just yet, here comes your insurance policy. The 40 moving average is your insurance policy. It will either tell to you to make the buy or not make the buy.

If the 40 moving average does cross the 72 moving average on the 4 hour chart it's time to buy. If it does not cross, (DO NOT TAKE THE TRADE).

If it does cross you want to see it cross between 12 and 2 o'clock on the clock for a buy. (And you want to see it cross between 4 o'clock and 6 o'clock for a sell). This tells you it's going to be a strong trade.

On the trades that I have taken, like I have said before I use a line chart, the line chart works better for me and I look for a 3 level rise or fall, this can take 24-72 hours before I close the trade.

If I'm in a trade after 24 hours and I see the line chart on the 4 hour chart make a W or a M, I will close the trade. To me that's telling me change is coming.

That's how my mirror system works.

First of all, I wish you healthy days. The 40SMA(MINUS 22 shift) on the new system make me a little confused? can you graph a sample for entry(timing)?
İsn't it a little late for entering? When you see that the average of 40 exceeds the average of 72, the price rised about 22 bars, Isn't it?

The 40 moving average -22 is my insurance policy. It helps me stay out of the bad trades.

I'll post a chart later so you can see how it works.

I just made my 34th trade using the new system. I sold AUD/JPY at 92.739, I expect to be in the trade for a while.

How are you Pockerchip? Has the great inflationary recession started? In South Africa everything is expensive and costs are spiralling. The middle class is struggling to survive

I think the recession started about 2 months ago. Everything cost way too much.

I just got done cutting the grass while it was in the 70's. High today 91 degrees.

I'm watching GBP/CHF for a buy trade on the 4 hour. If I take the trade I'll let you know.

Gbpchf I shorted this morning. It remains in a downtrend.

Yep, this system is slower but is more accurate. And on the 4 hour chart the pips are there.

As of right now I have taken 34 trades, and have taken profit 23 times.

On the 40 moving average I have the shift at -22, just so everyone knows.

Close to a 70 percent success rate. Well done.

Thanks, so far so good, I'm still tinkering with the 40 moving average a bit.

Most of todays trades I have held for over 12 hours with a large success rate. Sure some times the trade goes into drawdowns such as my gold trade but hold until the trend resumes.

Yep, I agree the longer the trades I think the more profitable they can be. On the chart you can see the 3 levels stair stepping down.

You can see GBP/CHF wants to go higher, I think it will pass 1.17500 maybe by tomorrow. I'll be in the trade long before that.

It’s amazing how we all have different opinions. 10 people 10 different opinions. I have tried to create an approach that is less subjective and more objective.

It takes time, I was laying in bed one night about 2 months ago when I had this idea about a simple trading system.

Then I started using moving averages and adjusting the shift.
