There is so much controversy as to whether the song should be credited to Jackie Brenston & his Delta Cats or, as Ike says, Sam Phillips stuffed up lol and that it was Ike Turner & his Kings Of Rhythm who did the song with Jackie as backup saxophonist in the band. But, he says, she says etc …. Still the song WAS based on the then recently released at the time 1950 Oldsmobile vehicle. We do know Jackie played sax on the song, yes, (and vocals, maybe or Ike who knows any more) We don’t know whether...
