Sorry for your losses today, but TS is right. UJ was clearly like a downhill runaway train from the start of the Asian session. I only took one HoLo trade just now thinking that it was time for the reversal, it started well then crazy S$@& happened and price went up and triggered my 10 pip TP which I already placed, then it went down and up like a yo-yo, hit the daily pivot in 30 seconds. I saw that candle reaching there so I placed a sell limit which was triggered and my profit was the middle of that candle. So one HoLo and one opportunity trade.

Here is the problem. You are speaking as a person who is the result of being on sites like this. That is clear. A person who learns wants more than just their own "result". For me I come from the real world where you do not ask some anonymous person "What should I do with my money?" No. You do you own work. From start to finish. And yes I appreciate the fact that some people here are not serious about their trading, however, everything I say is aimed at the real person who will or is using real money in the real world. Not hobbyists.

I would say the last thing you spoke of re: this strategy and Life is rather naive. But that's just me.

As for people and being adept or inept...... both positions are their choice ALWAYS and only ever their responsibility. No one else's. If you take that away from someone or forcibly remove it from their situation or process, you have nothing but a child with an entitlement mindset, similar to an only child. So yes to some I may seem rough or cruel or the things I say may seem useless or pointless, but in real life they are not. They couldn't be MORE useful or important.

Let's be clear about something ...... what I see a lot is the relinquishing of personal responsibility of each trader and replacing it with group think, a way to colonize a person's mind. This is what I will put in print here and now - this is not a modern person's thinking or strategy. It has existed for hundreds or thousands of years. digitized price charts on the other hand, is rather new. It merely reflects "certain things" but is not historically fundamental to markets.

I have seen this strategy many places, given many names.

People new to trading should never start with a strategy. Why? It's naive and creates disadvantage from the beginning. So what I said re: where I would start is not based on "personal flavor" it is based on learning something a strategy cannot teach and THEN applying it to what the price graph displays.. Therefore if a person is making observations LONG before seeking a strategy, then they do not "need" anonymous "help". They learn to trust in themself and their abilities and skills.

Unfortunately for the example of zen master and scholar, the assumption is that someone has to be "one or the other only". The issue here re: me, is not whether I "know it all" but whether I will bend to social trading's idea of the real world. Sorry cannot happen. Memes and circular ideas cannot help someone learn. it simply shows that "modern thinking" has lost touch with reality in the real world.

The "ownership" of this strategy runs back to times before AD.

This is stuff people need to know if they actually live in the real world and not through some virtual presence.

No strategy requires hundreds or thousands of pages to be written if it is in fact a learning tool. If it's not then it is easy to see what is going on.

If there is a problem it is discussing and insulting people rather than keeping on topic about trading. That is something that occurs far too often on trading forums.

If you have something specific to teach us about how to improve HOLO then go ahead and share it.

The same problem as usual. You cannot separate people from trading. If you and I were talking one on one in person I would say the same things.

Simple motto = Learn or do not learn. Naturally Objective or closed off and opinions and beliefs only.

This strategy is as good as any strategy. As some would see, some moves off the previously set low or high do not move too far. Here is where one needs to decide .... Am I a speculator or something more substantial?

Every time you think you've worked out this strategy, look back on the above diagram. And then assume you have not worked it out. Then write down the area of your thinking that you think is trying to work out how to do it. If it's too analytical then try being more creative. And vice versa. This is what you have to do in real life so you can generate contingency plans.

When you do hard work you need to have a thick skin.

Yes.. Thanks.. Experimenting to see what works best.
Although the tight trailing stops take me out much earlier, especially when some of the moves run for 100's.

May I suggest when you see such a downtrend from the early morning to try and take sell signals rather than buy signals, I know it is not possible to tell when the bottom is reached and the reversal begins, but when you get an H1 lower open after a long downtrend let the first one or two entries pass. you will find they often trigger your buy stop and then reverse to make a new low.
