Second doji in the run up decided to take a +20 win to start day right. Left some ticks on the table but that's fine.

just one more thing, if you could what or why rather. Did you decide that here a horizontal break is what we need for the trade? this trend line was the one that got me... Is there anything I could do to avoid trades like this?

ps. I see so basically calm logic haha nice!

Yup i have exactly the same issue, many false moves and then sudenly the winning move appears, this kind of chop drives me nuts. When i wait for a very clear break out of a range I miss the trade and when i jump in, it turns out to be just more chop.

Ok first let's remeber hindsight is 20/20. Ok see your first trade for +11.7? It was doing everything I outlined at entry yesterday. Right? Now notice 1 more thing
At the start of your trendline the adx had dropped a lot, now draw a trendline on the adx and guess what your entry is on a break above 25 and that trendline. Now draw TL on the adx again from nearest high you avoid the 5.7 loss. Now next loss I can see entry it's fine. I would cal it an aggressive entry. If you wanted to be more consevative you could've waited for price to break above the horizontal line between the nearest red dot to your entry candle, which is pretty much where you entered youtr winner.

Here's an example of using the adx this way you could be aggressive and enter a little earlier and that's an extra 4 ticks or wait for more conservative and which still made 15 ticks.

You can trade aggressively or not that's an individual choice, this is more conservative. I tend to be more aggressive. But this is a good way to see a way out of consolidation areas.

by nature I am a bit more aggressive myself, but so far in trading it didnt really provide me much edge, so at least for now might be a good step for me to consider slightly more conservative entries.
Must say I do like this approach

Late post today. After trading room, off food shopping, then some other errands and then a workout. Very nice PA today very tradeable. 5 trades all shorts against the earlier up trends. I marked the charts up a little more than usual today, listing why I took trades. On 6E and 6A you'll notice I listed USD moving up, but on 6M no. 6M for whatever reason does not always react to USD the same way so while I pay some attention to USD it's less of a certainty. All my people are doing well and making money. Looks like I missed 2nd explanation on 6E but...

Decent start to the day. The first two a little late to enter, consequently the reason for small losses instead of small win or BE. But no problem noted and will work on that. Otherwise happy

2 Quick trades on and 1 Micro S&P 500. A few of my students wanted to dip their toes back into indexes so I suggested they try with the micros.

I would suggest if you miss entry by more than 1 candle to pass on trades unless it is a very strong trending day.
Long again on euro sl at B/E

My people took this trade on MES for another 60 tick win. They are using a 40 tick SL and 60 tick TP and trading 2 contracts

I did consider that yes, but FOMO does have a small effect on me still. Considerably less today but still is present.
EU till now pretty good, wasn't at the computer at the first trade. closed it with 2.6 profit instead of 6 pips, but I didn't let it get to me, so great success on that front.
BTW I absolutely chuffed my entry matches your haha awesome.

I've been putting tl's on adx like we discussed yesterday. It seems so far that it works best when ADX dips under 25 before moving back up.
