Neither do. The monetary system/industry owns it. It's the property of its making. It's why smart people either barter or, they find ways to rise above it. It's also why people have to hand in Gold etc and money coins notes etc when called upon when "updates" are made to what's in circulation.
Brokers hold agreements with banking institution of choice so they can do business as they do. But at the end of the day both trader and broker "use" money as legal tender based on co-party agreement.
People do not live in the real world, they live in a highly buffered AND insulated way but the biggest trouble with this is, it stops people from seeing the real problems.
Most traders and people I have spoken to either "don't care" or don't believe it all, until (in some way) they are faced with the black and whiteness of it all.
People have the arrangement arse-end backwards as to what makes it all tick.
Unfortunately there's a lot of rubbish everywhere now that makes a big "conspiracy" out of everything or simply tells half truths or flat out lies about it all.
Most normal people don't want to know but then, when things go bad, want to turn around and bitch and winge and complain about the situation, proving they currently lack the maturity or problem solving skills to effect real change.
I've got a little wisdom to share about this .......
You can't want what you want AND THEN not like or accept the consequences that are created by your degree of ignorance ....... in basic words it's called insanity..... in every meaning of the word. You can't play the victim and the martyr/innocent all at the same time. Life doesn't work that way.
So each person needs to decide ....... either you're a child or you're an adult. None of this BS of "Oh I'm a grown up". That's just another way of saying a child in an aging body that never matured fully.
I've said it many times to people re: trading = if you play their game by their rules, you're done. You might make some money short to long term (through YOUR idea of what is long term) but it's not your game so 'workarounds' etc and trying to be 'clever' doesn't work when it really counts.
I hope that helps, despite its simplicity as a response.
